LGI Homes just sold another new home in our Deer Creek subdivision. Congratulations to Sabir on the sale. The Lee family chose a Colorado plan that will become their new home. The Lee family is a typical new home buyer for LGI Homes. They are currently paying rent of about $900 per month and have never owned a home before. They were able to buy a new home today at a monthly payment comparable to their rent and they also qualify for the $8,000 first time homebuyer tax credit. first time homebuyer tax credit: LGI Homes prepares for end of Tax Credit

LGI Homes is ramping up new home starts in September in anticipation of the end of the federal tax credit that is set to expire on November 30, 2009. LGI Homes is starting 70 new homes in September and all will be delivered and available to be moved into by the end of November. The $8,000 first time homebuyer tax credit is a great incentive for consumers to stop paying rent and instead choose home ownership.
