milestone: 600,000.....Even I'm Amazed - 06/03/11 02:39 AM
OK....nothing fancy here.  600,000 points as of of June 3, 2011.  From 400,000 to 500,000, it was the longest stretch in my Active Rain blogosphere.  From 500,000 to 600,00, it went by like the snap of a finger.  More referrals and more education, but my favorite of all favorites is that I got more real (not tacit, but real) relationships within Active Rain.
My biggest milestone in this 100,000 is that national publications have asked me to begin to write for them.  This gives me the added exposure that I need to drip over my clients even more!  That's what Active … (27 comments)

milestone: Off Like a Prom Dress in 2011!!!! - 01/04/11 04:14 AM
So....finally it's here!  I've made the the half million point mark on Active Rain.
500,000 SMACKEROOS!!!!!! Pretty big accomplishment for me personally.  I remember when Randy Keberlein said to me "dude, you gotta do this Active Rain blogging thing.  I don't know how it works, but it just does."  I said what is it?  What do you do?  He couldn't really explain it but said that he had 30,000 points and was getting calls, hits and a lot of Google juice.  I said I didn't know how to create a blog.  He told me not to worry about it as the … (42 comments)

milestone: 900 Posts Later and I'm.... - 10/14/10 02:38 AM
OK....so it's a long time since I've joined A.R.  Over the course of time, I've written a lot.  As of today, I sit at a new milestone.  I'm just 100 away from 1,000 posts.  And to think that there was a day that I didn't think that I'd even hit 10 posts.  Needless to say, I have the requisite success to sing the praises of Active Rain.
I've received over 65 referrals since joining.  In fact, I just received a new one just yesterday.  I've made a lot of money on Active Rain as well.  I think what has amazed me … (6 comments)

milestone: The Last 30,000 were the hardest to 400,000 Points - 05/24/10 05:25 PM
Well, it's great to finally hit that milestone, but I'll tell you, it's been a chore.  First you go through the usual once a year blogging lull, then when your heart is back from vacation, the computer crashes.  Then, there's travel, meetings and business.  When all is said and done, this is the hardest 100,000 points I've ever earned.  Needless to say, 400,000 is finally here.
Just this past week, I received my 54th referral from Active Rain. I met a great realtor who is having me speak to his entire office on June 2nd.  The value of Active Rain is … (17 comments)

milestone: 300,000 Points and 43 referrals later.....IT'S ALL GOOD! - 09/10/09 01:40 AM
OK....I'm there....FINALLY THE MONKEY IS OFF MY BACK.  I'm real.  I really am a part of Active Rain.
I guess that I've always had my eyes set on the 300,000 point number ever since joining Active Rain two and 1/2 years ago.  My story is simple.  I'm a net neophyte who was dragged into Active Rain kicking and screaming.  I was told that this was the wave of the future.  I was told that it was a great way to get your name out on the net.  I relented and moved forward in stupidity and angst as I struggled to learn … (91 comments)

milestone: 500th Blog Post - 02/13/09 12:38 AM
This is a post that doesn't have a lot of meat in it.  I've been a member of Active Rain now for almost two years.  Today, I hit my 500th post.  That's 250 posts a year or between 5 and 6 per week.  I never thought that I'd last this long.  Nor did I think that I'd experience the success that I've achieved.  Needless to say, I'm ecstatic at where I'm atand grateful for all that has occurred while playing in the rain.  I love a little super group of mortgage people who are like iron sharpening iron forcing us all … (20 comments)

milestone: Tangible ways to make money off of Active Rain - my 200,000 point experience!!! - 01/05/09 07:09 AM
I was going to title this 200,000 points.  Yes, I've hit the big 2 - 0 - 0.  It's such a milestone.  But when thinking about writing on this, I began to reflect on how my life has changed since joining in the rain.
I joined midway through 07.  I didn't know what a blog was.  My friend, Randal's Blog, Randy Keberlein, invited me to join Active Rain.  After much persuasion about this stupid internet posting site, I reluctantly decided to join.  Needless to say, it's been a whirlwind ride with many benefits, many of which truly are tangible.
I see … (20 comments)

milestone: 100th Blog Subscriber!!!! Thank you fellow Rainers!!!! - 01/05/09 12:46 AM
OK....this is the week of milestones for me for playing in the RAIN.  I've notched my 100th subscriber to my posts.  I'm not really sure why that is.  I guess people think that I'm intelligent or have something worthwhile to say.  Maybe, they're just realists and know that I have something intelligent or worthwhile to say some of the time and want to be around for that one eye-opening moment.
Irrespectively, I will post on my success in the Rain in a later post, but I want to make one observation with this milestone.  There are garbage posters.  In other words, … (13 comments)

milestone: #2 on Active Rain Ain't So Bad in Illinois! - 10/22/08 03:21 PM
With this post I pass a great man in Illinois to become #2 in the State.  I joined Active Rain about 1.5 yers ago.  Not that this is a significant milestone.  But I do have to say that the person I'm passing is just an awesome human being, wonderful home stager and one of the top professionals in any facet of real estate in Illinois.  Real Estate Staging / Home Staging Blog.  I've communicated with him, but have never spoken to him.  He is one of the most professional people within our community and is a bastian of AR.  Two of … (19 comments)

milestone: 150,000 Points..... - 09/16/08 04:01 PM
That's about all that I can say.  I've hit it....or I will with this post.  It's been a wild ride.  What's happened in my 18 months since joining?
1)  I've built a great network of friend here;

SECONDLY....I'm in the process of taking my 13th loan application since joining AR.  I thought that this would take off a lot quicker, but it took a while for me to get into the zone.  As a result, I have a lot of transactions from Joe Q. Public.  But I am now made the inner circle of some of the who's who of … (20 comments)

milestone: Half way to 100000- - - - 49,999 points....A personal milestone - 10/06/07 02:46 PM
I think that it's only fitting that I write a nice long post about how I got here and what this all means to me.  I'm not going to because of 2 reasons:
1)  I'm on vacation....need I say anything more?
2)  I'm only 1/2 of the way to 100,000
I've had a lot of fun, but today I'll take a rest......I've been going strong.  But I have familyI'm on vacation and I need to get back to my R & R until I start my aquest for the next 50....YAHOO!!!!

milestone: 40,000 Points - - Where's my medal? - 09/12/07 03:55 PM
Wow...what a ride....I joined in June and in just a few short months, it feels like I've written 1.3 million comments. . . 600,000 blogs and have read about 10,000,000 blogs, comments and posts.  Let me just say this....I've, for the most part, had fun getting there.  Maybe 40,000 is not a great as 50,000, but it's the first milestone that I feel is making me feel just awesome.  I've met a lot of great people, AND I'VE RECEIVED 6 TRANSACTIONS since I joined.
I think that the thing that makes me most excited is the fact that I have really … (12 comments)
