The move stems from financial difficulties that occurred when the school’s mortgage holder failed and the FDIC stepped in taking control of the lender’s assets. The Chesterfield, MO Make your Mark Mural Day on Saturday, June 4 was a huge success. The Monarch-Chesterfield Levee flood wall was painted with an elaborate mural of scenes from around the area – current as well as historic themes. It was painted with spirit and turned out to be a real tribute to the citizens of Chesterfield, our rich history and culture as well as the creative talents of Chesterfield Arts. A few days ago, I wrote about our oncoming winter storm that was being called a possible blizzard. It has been a while since Missouri had a blizzard. Well, I wrote that I was excited about the upcoming storm because I had a new snow blower. Jim was worried after we bought it that we wouldn’t get any more snow for the season and it would sit in our garage, shiny and new (and untouched.) We were promised a storm of historic proportions. The storm delivered 3” of sleet. Better than the snow that could have been! I did get to use my new snow blower though!! It worked on the piled up sleet. It was awesome!
We love our weathercasters but I think this storm threw them for a loop. We had the National Guard activated and they are being used to provide needed transportation and make sure no one is stranded on the road in snowy areas. Overall, days on market were improved from 2009. However, the list price/sale price was down as was the average sale price. Only two homes are currently on the market.
