Okay, so I truly thought that SAN DIMAS would be as slow as some of the other neighboring cities.  I reasoned that maybe people are getting a bit nervous because of the issues with the federal budget and the downgrade in our nation's credit rating.  The financial institutions have been hit as well and I think people are unsure of what will come of all this in the near future.  It makes sense for yet another slow down, if you think about it logically.  (YA, metrying to be logical!)

Okay, so here goes nothin'!  (Just kidding)  Anyway, the La Verne Market Watch is a lot more volitale than the San Dimas. 
Ten new homes have come onto the market.  If you're looking to buy a home in La Verne, you should check out all the new listings each week, day or month depending on how fast you want to move.  Of those ten homes that went on the home market, only two are short sales and the rest are standard sales.  Things seem to be looking up!

Okay, so here it is, the chart for San Dimas this week. Obviously we had nine homes come onto the market in the last seven days.  Of those nine, five are standard sales, two are bankowned and two are short sales.  It would seem that the days of standard sales are coming back again. Not so bad on the price changes this week.  Twelve price changes is starting to come down from last week's number.  Again, it still really matters that you use an agent who knows their STUFF when it comes to home pricing.   And only two went back … (0 comments)

Okay, so it's that time of the week again!  Market Watch is something I do for the cities of San Dimas and La Verne so you can get a feeling for what's happening in the area with regards to real estate.  It also gives me a good feel for home pricing and other factors that enable me to do my job better for YOU. Okay, so, I find it interesting. Last week in San Dimas we had nine backup offers and three that actually went into escrow.  And yet, five of those are now back on the market.  To me, that is a huge amount, almost 50%. And yet we continue to get new listings.  Eight more homes are now on the market, and most of those are standard sales, not short sales or REO'S.  The standard sales mean that either homes are coming onto the market that have enough equity not to be upside down or that investors have bought the homes and … (0 comments)
