I recently staged a seller's home that needed quite a bit of work. She needed to repaint her home - but didn't want to spend the money to do it. Something that I do many times for my staging clients (as well as my design and decorative painting clients), is to find sofas, chairs, beds...plus dining, coffee, end tables, rugs etc - for very little money on Craigslist.org - and place them in the home. Many times, the pieces can be placed" as is," or - with a little cleaning, perhaps some paint and elbow grease - be transformed into something truly beautiful. I've been able to find a mover who is extremely reasonable - so the whole process always turns out to be way less expensive than renting furniture (in (2 comments)
