In looking at a home, we began to................................ puke our heads off!!! Why, you ask? Well, from the outside, it looked like a nice enough home. Neat and clean, perfect yard, landscaped nicely. To our disappointment, a chocolate covered turd. Infested with mold. Covered from floor to ceiling. We had walked downstairs, the handrails were covered along with the walls. We were all sick before we could escape back upstairs and to fresh air. When I first get to a house and the sellers are home I go in first to introduce myself before I start knocking around the house. This was a short sale. Getting the dishwasher started I looked up and saw a slight staining on the ceiling. That was caused by a fire. Not a large fire, but one nonetheless. "What caused that?" How's that grab you, all of you free market proponents? Commission based pay. For everyone. The ultimate in free market economics. In essence, put up or shut up. My suggestion is bred from the frustration all of us who are on a commision based pay structure have with those who aren't. Namely, BANK EMPLOYEES! A family on my street sold their home privately last month and followed up with an offer on a resale home in another area of town. Both transactions set to take place on the same day as is typical in this scenario. The husband, a nice enough guy, asked me to list their current home in March and at the last minute he decided to list privately and coincidentally at the very price (1 comments)
