THE LAKE MEAD RECREATIONAL AREA The Hoover Dam and Lake Mead Recreational Area on the Colorado River borders Arizona and Nevada just 45 minutes from Golden Valley. It is an easy commute north on Hwy 93 from the junction of Hwy 68. River rafting, jet sking, fishing, camping, hiking and touring the dam are just a few of the many attractions that await you when you arrive at this oasis in the desert.
