National Ice Cream Day is Sunday, July 16.Florida and our Tampa Bay area have been gripped by an excessive heat wave. We know: Florida is always hot in the summer. But most days this month we have seen heat advisories with the heat index (the real feel temperature in the triple digits).Fun fact: Tampa has never actually seen 100 in the record books. One of the questions I get asked the most from clients moving from out of state: what do you do about hurricanes? Thankfully our area - Tampa Bay - hasn't had a direct hit in more than 100 years. But even when a storm goes north or south of us, we can have damage, lose power and experience issues with flooding. So every year I like to post a new blog about hurricane preparedness.
