daytona beach native: Ethics, Principles, Internal Beliefs and Selling Real Estate - 09/19/09 11:51 PM
We all have an internal battle. Some people struggle with some of these, and some struggle with all of them. They affect our relationships with everyone in our lives, including business.
WRONG ways from which to think, believe and act....
Pride, Envy, Jealousy, Sorrow, Regret, Arrogance, Self-Pity, Guilt, Resentment, Inferiority, Superiority, Ego, Selfishness, Self-Seeking, and more.
So how do you change these negative qualities within yourself?
Choose the right ways to think, believe and act... “The Fruit of the Spirit”... Love, Joy, Peace, Longsuffering, Gentleness, Goodness, Faith, Meekness, Temperance... and the characteristics of Christ... Hope, Benevolence, Empathy, Generosity, Truth, Compassion, … (11 comments)

daytona beach native: First Time Home Buyers in Daytona Beach, Port Orange, South Daytona areas... - 09/15/09 08:56 AM
Atttention First Time Home Buyers: If there's even a chance that you'll be interested in buying a home in the Daytona Beach area; including Port Orange, South Daytona and all of east Volusia county, DO NOT WAIT any longer! Time is running out, to take advantage of the $8000 tax credit!
Although your mortage MIGHT take only 30 days for full financing, in today's real estate market it is highly unlikely! And to receive the $8000 tax credit, you MUST close on your home by November 30, 2009! If you don't close by the cutoff date, you will not receive the … (6 comments)

daytona beach native: Daytona Beach Real Estate and Halifax Harbor Marina: It's Wordless Wednesday Again! - 09/09/09 04:39 PM
It's Wordless Wednesday again. So once again, I'm providing a photo-centered blog on the appropriate day; while tossing the whole "no words" idea out the window... Hey. At least I'm consistent! ;-)
So, for this Wednesday, I'm sharing two photos from one of our marinas/yacht clubs; Halifax Harbor Marina & Yacht Club.
This yacht club is absolutely beautiful, as it was completely remodeled a few years ago. It's also one of the more affordable yacht clubs in the Volusia county area.
I have many photos that I've taken while attending functions at the various yacht clubs in the Daytona Beach, Ponce … (12 comments)

daytona beach native: A Walk Through Time; The School Years. By Lisa Hill. Daytona Beach REALTOR® and Native - 08/24/09 10:05 AM
I was just reading a blog post by Russel Lewis, which reminded me that the time has come. This week, many parents are jumping for joy as their children go back to school. Others are finding the situation a bit more stressful.
At 19, this is the week my daughter begins her sophomore year of college. Thankfully, her college is only an hour or so away, so she gets to come home most weekends. One of these days I'm going to really embarass her and have one of my fellow Active Rain bloggers check in on her. (insert evil laugh here) … (4 comments)

daytona beach native: REALTORS® and Closing Agents Working Together: By Lisa Hill, Daytona Beach REALTOR® - 08/16/09 07:36 PM
This is post #2 in my "Real Estate Professionals Working Together" series. My previous post, just a couple of days ago addressed REALTORS® and Mortgage Professionals Working Together. I decided to do this mini-series due to some comments I saw on other forums, by people who were NOT in the real estate industry. I found the comments to be very unfortunate, considering how far off base they were, based on my 15 years of experience.
Before I delve into the meat of this post, I want to provide the definition of a Closing Agent. A closing agent is someone who does … (5 comments)

daytona beach native: Frog Mania! Fun Photo and Video, on Silly Saturday! =D - 08/06/09 10:42 PM
In answer to all the question about my Wordless Wednesday post this week, I thought I'd tell a little story. In case you missed that particular post. Here's the little bugger that's causing all the ruckus.

To answer the questions that were asked on that post...
1. Vickie Nagy: Nope. He didn't get in and hop around; at least not by himself
2. Kelli-Rhyanne Bartley: I think I had him pretty worn out by the time I took this picture =P
3. Crystal Kilpatrick: Nah. He was just a little slimy. lol
4. Johnny Huang: Son? Who says only boys … (8 comments)

Hello to all my real estate and community event readers, and thank you for once again reading my blog!  I really appreciate knowing that so many of you keep returning. Thank you! (Now if I could just find a way to make you all comment...)  =P
Once again, it's (Somewhat) Speechless Sunday, where I share a photo with you, and allow you to decide what you personally like (or dislike) about the photo, and comment on why it does, (or does not) appeal to you.  A few days ago, I shared a Wordless Wednesday photo, and video, which I felt was … (2 comments)
