Yesterday, Florida REALTORS® received an e-mail today about the "American Recovery and Reinvestment Act" which is the $8000 tax credit for qualifying first-time home buyers. The e-mail came from the Florida Association of REALTORS® (FAR), asking Florida REALTORS® to contact their state representative, and contained a link to a form letter to e-mail. I just posted the actual e-mail as a topic for discussion on LinkedIn, in the "Real Estate Services" group. linkedin: Are You Properly Plugged In? Real Estate and Social Networking Groups

So many of us have widgets in our blog side bars that show the many social networking groups in which we've joined. But do we really use all those groups? I'll be the first to admit that I do not. The one I use most frequently is Facebook, and that's just because I kick butt in the Pirates: Rule the Caribbean plug-in. (Anyone want to join my crew? Arrr Mateys!) OK. I know a lot of bloggers here on Active Rain have profiles on LinkedIn. I see the many accounts reflected in the MyBlogLog widgets in so many side-bars. Many AR bloggers have found me on several social networking sites like Twitter. I've even crossed paths with others on Trulia, when answering public questions. As I was poking around on LinkedIn a little while ago, I was having difficulty finding groups that would bring us all together. So I created one.
