move: How to NOT Sell Your House! - 03/21/10 07:17 PM
Today I got a call from a Port Orange real estate seller who wants to sell her house, with the tenants living there while the house is listed for sale. Well, as a REALTOR®, I know that tenants can make it very difficult to sell a real estate listing. So of course this real estate seller and I discussed the possibilities, and options, and reasons to have or not have a tenant living in the house while it's for sale. As we finished our conversation, the seller is now considering her options, and deciding if the timing is right for her … (7 comments)

move: Embrace Your Unique Gifts, Talents and Abilities. Be the Best YOU, that You Can Be! - 02/22/10 05:48 AM
A little while ago, I read this blog post by Gary Woltal called "Is Your Camel Parked in the Right Desert?". I felt the need to share it, because it spoke volumes to me.
As REALTORS®, most of us are constantly trying to better ourselves. We read and study and learn, with the intention of bettering ourselves, and providing better service to our customers. We even do our required continuing education, plus study for even more real estate education and designations. All this is good for us, and for our real estate customers!
But how often do we blame ourselves for … (4 comments)

And for all you real estate buyers and sellers out there, what better gift to give your family than a new home for Christmas and the upcoming new year? move: Photo: Port Orange Lake-Front Park and Gorgeous Clouds at Sunset - 12/02/09 09:06 AM
For this week's Wordless Wednesday post (with words =P) I wanted to share a photo from a beautiful Port Orange lakefront park with walking/running paths around the lake, and on wooden bridges across the lake. This area is small but peaceful. I've walked this park and paths myself, and can attest to the pleasant atmosphere, and the relaxing sound of the fountain in the lake. But on this particular day, the sky was spectacular!

I hope you enjoyed this peaceful shot. And if you're interested in buying or selling real estate in Port Orange, Lisa Hill is a Port … (7 comments)

move: Mid Week Photo Blog on Lisa Hill's Real Estate Blog =) - 11/19/09 05:19 PM
This week's photo is really just a follow-up to this past Sunday's photo. It's the same bird from Sunday's blog post, standing in the shallow water at sunset, taken by my friend Nick (fully copyrighted). In this photo, I LOVE the perfect shadow that's reflecting in the water. And I decided that since I had so much trouble deciding which shot to use last week, I should go ahead and share the other one with you today =D
You can click here -->> to order prints of Nick's photography... he does a fantastic job!

And if you're interested in buying … (7 comments)

In answer to all the question about my Wordless Wednesday post this week, I thought I'd tell a little story. In case you missed that particular post. Here's the little bugger that's causing all the ruckus.

To answer the questions that were asked on that post...
1. Vickie Nagy: Nope. He didn't get in and hop around; at least not by himself
2. Kelli-Rhyanne Bartley: I think I had him pretty worn out by the time I took this picture =P
3. Crystal Kilpatrick: Nah. He was just a little slimy. lol

move: Real Estate, Race Week and the Daytona 500 - 02/14/09 03:52 AM
It's that time again. It's Race Week at the Daytona International Speedway. And if history continues to repeat itself, many of our race fans will be looking at real estate while they're here. While it's unlikely that our guests are ready to buy a house, vacation home, or seasonal residence right now, they typically like to get an idea of how much house or condo they can afford, and what types of properties are available in the Daytona Beach area. And in the near future they'll be ready to buy.
So this post is for Daytona Beach race fans everywhere. First … (10 comments)

move: Real Estate: Congressional Stimulus Bill and Tax Credits for Home Buyers - 02/12/09 02:07 AM
For everyone who has been waiting to purchase real estate, while pinning your hopes on the empty promises our government has been making, it's time to get off the fence. Yes, there are other bailouts in addition to the one that's addressed in this post, but if this is the indicator of how the others will be handled, they'll either reach the same pathetic conclusion... or they'll be dropped altogether.

move: Volusia County Real Estate Listings vs Sales Review for 2008 - 01/26/09 03:47 PM
Being a REALTOR® can be a tough job. Especially when everyone who wants to sell real estate, or buy real estate, wants to hear some good news about the real estate market. Unfortunately, for the last couple of years, the one answer that everyone wants to hear, is not the answer I've been able to give them.
Last year, I posted a blog with a chart that showed the real estate market statistics for 2000-2007. << Follow the link to view that data.
And now it's time for the 2008 year-end real estate review for Volusia County. The following chart shows … (2 comments)

Earlier this week I wrote a post to my real estate blogs, about the Community of Countryside in Port Orange, FL. This is not the first time I've blogged about this beautiful community. And the fabulous Port Orange location is as convenient as it gets.
