move to daytona beach: Buying Real Estate in the Summer in Port Orange Florida - 07/16/10 12:59 PM
Summer is officially here in Port Orange, Florida! You know it by the sweltering heat that always accompanies the months of July and August. (We dread the electric bill every year during these months.) You know it's summer when you walk across the bright, sunny parking lot (leaving umbrella in the car) into our "gi-normous" (my daughter's word-just combine giant + enormous. lol) Super Wal-Mart to buy your groceries, and anything else you could possibly need; and 30 minutes later you hear, and feel the vibrations of huge bursts of thunder. So you rush for the checkout counter, buying yet another … (0 comments)

move to daytona beach: Downtown Daytona Beach Park and Playground by City Island Library, on Intracoastal Waterway - 06/30/10 10:33 PM
Once again I set out to take photos of a specific location, and once again the weather wasn't quite perfect enough. (I'm a bit of a perfectionist.) But I did meet a friendly family in the park at City Island, located directly on the Intracoastal Waterway in Downtown Daytona Beach. You can also walk to the City Island Library, or join the local Kayaking Club, whose headquarters are located in this same area.
So, say hello to Logan. You can also say hello to his mother and sister, Victoria and Abigail.

Thank you Victoria, Logan and Abigail, for … (6 comments)

LIMITS ON MORTGAGE INTEREST DEDUCTION was once a "sacred cow" of tax law.  No more.
The American home owner is square in the sights of the budget released today.
On October 25, 2008, a bolt of lightening struck me and I realized that there is no income protection safe from the government's zeal to play chess with the American tax payer's … (6 comments)

move to daytona beach: Found in Beautiful Daytona Beach. I Love These! - 10/07/09 09:16 PM
In Daytona Beach, we don't have a lot of Willow Trees. But I LOVE them! Ever since I decided to actually research them (I'll give reasons in a future post) I've had a fascination for them. And then I found these in the most unexpected spot, right in the middle of Daytona Beach. So of course I had to take tons of pictures!
The Willow Trees, and the words I wrote on this image have significance for me, that will be lost on most of you. But I thought you'd at least enjoy the photo =)

Today was one of my favorite types of days. It always amazes me that being a Daytona Beach native, living in Port Orange, that there are so many things to do, that I often forget all there is to do and see.
This morning I had an appointment with a real estate buyer who wants to buy an oceanfront condo in Daytona Beach. And we have some unbelievable bargains for sale in condos on the ocean! But this buyer is in the beginning stages of her search, so after meeting with her and sharing some information, I headed home, over the … (4 comments)

This was not my planned blog post for the day, but I made the mistake of taking a peek at the Halifax Humane Society web site. I have to admit that I'm a sucker for cuddly little critters. While most people prefer cats and dogs... OK so I have two cats as well... I just love adorable little furry friends. In addition to my 2 cats, I also have a guinea pig. Her name is Pipsqueak.
