port orange real estate: Life on Other Planets - What Do You Believe? Check This Out! - 09/29/10 07:38 PM
I can't remember the last time a bit of news got me this excited. (I'll bet Vegas Bob is jumping up and down right now!)
If you haven't read about the most recently found planet in the "Goldilocks Zone", you have to check out this article... "Could Goldilocks Planet Be Just Right for Life?"  What got me the most excited was this one quote- "...because conditions are ideal for liquid water, and because there always seems to be life on Earth where there is water, Vogt believes that chances for life on this planet are 100 percent."
I don't know about … (8 comments)

port orange real estate: Steeplechase in Countryside. Beautiful Port Orange Community. - 03/29/10 08:56 AM
This week we've been discussing the beautiful community of Countryside in Port Orange Florida. This gorgeous master community with pool clubhouse and tennis courts, holds several other communities. I personally live in The Hunt Club, which is the gated, all brick housing community in Countryside.
For this post, we're taking a look at arguably, the most upscale community in Countryside; the spectacular, deed-restricted community of Steeplechase. When comparing the differences in each Countryside community, the most noticeable differences about Steeplechase are the brightly painted stucco exteriors and tiled roofs, which give Steeplechase a distinctive "South Beach" feel. Most of the homes … (1 comments)

port orange real estate: Countryside Community in Port Orange. A Great Place to Buy A Home - 03/24/10 11:24 PM
Countryside Community in Port Orange Florida is a great place to buy a home. And I should know... I live there! Over 11 years ago, when our family was looking to buy a home, we knew we wanted to live in Port Orange. I'm a native of the Daytona Beach area, and have worked and played in every nook and cranny of Volusia county. Our family found the city of Port Orange to have the best combination of qualities we wanted. Even better, the Master Association Community of "Countryside", with it's pool, clubhouse, tennis courts, and plenty of walking and biking … (6 comments)

port orange real estate: How to NOT Sell Your House! - 03/21/10 07:17 PM
Today I got a call from a Port Orange real estate seller who wants to sell her house, with the tenants living there while the house is listed for sale. Well, as a REALTOR®, I know that tenants can make it very difficult to sell a real estate listing. So of course this real estate seller and I discussed the possibilities, and options, and reasons to have or not have a tenant living in the house while it's for sale. As we finished our conversation, the seller is now considering her options, and deciding if the timing is right for her … (7 comments)

port orange real estate: Luxury Condos in Port Orange FL - 02/28/10 05:08 PM
Last Thursday when I was working with my international real estate clients, we were in Port Orange, looking at 4 parcels of vacant land that were all adjacent to each other. (The plan is to combine these parcels and build a muti-family investment property) As we were standing on edge of these parcels, we couldn't help but notice a beautiful, obviously new condominium, within walking distance for us, and located directly across the street from the Intracoastal Waterway.
For this post, I'm simply sharing a photo I took that day. I actually took many photos, and I'll be sharing those with … (9 comments)

As a follow-up to my recent post titled "Port Orange Real Estate Listings and Sales 2000-2009 Market Report", I decided to write this post, which shows just how many of the 2009 sales were foreclosures and short sales. Once again, I've included a bar graph. As indicated in the bar graph, for the city of Port Orange, the 2009 real estate Foreclosure Sales and Short Sales were not as high … (0 comments)

port orange real estate: Photo: Port Orange Lake-Front Park and Gorgeous Clouds at Sunset - 12/02/09 09:06 AM
For this week's Wordless Wednesday post (with words =P) I wanted to share a photo from a beautiful Port Orange lakefront park with walking/running paths around the lake, and on wooden bridges across the lake. This area is small but peaceful. I've walked this park and paths myself, and can attest to the pleasant atmosphere, and the relaxing sound of the fountain in the lake. But on this particular day, the sky was spectacular!

I hope you enjoyed this peaceful shot. And if you're interested in buying or selling real estate in Port Orange, Lisa Hill is a Port … (7 comments)
