port orange real estate: Port Orange Residents, Are You Breaking City Ordinances? - 05/22/09 09:47 PM
I've lived in Port Orange for over 10 years, and in the Daytona Beach area since I was born. And my daughter is a 5th generation Floridian =) but I digress. I just think it's cool to have all my family nearby since it's somewhat rare anymore.
This blog post is about some information I recently discovered. When I found this page on the web site for the city of Port Orange, I started asking people if they were aware of this ordinance. (We do have a lot of unique ordinances. Many of them help keep Port Orange a city that's … (2 comments)

Yesterday, Florida REALTORS® received an e-mail today about the "American Recovery and Reinvestment Act" which is the $8000 tax credit for qualifying first-time home buyers. I just posted the actual e-mail as a topic for discussion on LinkedIn, in the "Real Estate Services" group. If you haven't joined the group, feel free to do so, and feel free to post your own topics for discussion in the group =)

port orange real estate: Local Advice from a Port Orange real estate agent. Halston's Fine Jewelry and Gifts in Port Orange FL - 03/31/09 09:06 PM
As a Port Orange home owner and REALTOR®, I frequently buy closing gifts for my clients after a real estate closing. Depending on the clients and their personal tastes, I give gifts from several different stores and restaurants. But one of my favorite stores, both for gift-giving and for my own indulgences, is Halstons' Fine Jewelry & Gifts.
Halstons' has been around for as long as I can remember. I had a piece of custom jewelry made by the jeweler there, over 20 years ago. Since then, I've had gem stones replaced, necklaces repaired, and I've purchased many gifts there.

port orange real estate: Port Orange Real Estate: 1st Quarter Listings and Sales Report - 03/30/09 06:34 PM
I'm a few days early to be starting the first quarter real estate reports for Volusia County for 2009, but due to the improving market in most Volusia County cities, I wanted to go ahead and get started with the Port Orange real estate statistics. Being that a large portion of my real estate sales are listed and sold in Port Orange, I decided to start there, for my 1st Quarter Listings and Sales Review for 2009. And I've tried a different method of calculating the data this time. The first chart provides greater detail, and a better overview of the … (2 comments)

Earlier this week I wrote a post to my real estate blogs, about the Community of Countryside in Port Orange, FL. This is not the first time I've blogged about this beautiful community. I may be a bit partial to it, since it's my home neighborhood. I live in The Hunt Club in Countryside. The Hunt Club is just one of several communities within the greater community of Countryside. And the fabulous Port Orange location is as convenient as it gets. port orange real estate: Port Orange Real Estate Buyers and Sellers: Good News! - 07/28/08 10:22 PM

Port Orange real estate buyers and sellers, I have some good news for you. I've been tracking the Daytona Beach Area MLS records regularly, so I've known for a while that Port Orange was faring better than Daytona Beach, Ormond Beach, or any of the other local cities.
Last week I sold a Port Orange house that's been on the market for a long time. It's a great house on 1 acre, in a fantastic location near Spruce Creek High School. And the sellers were (and still are) great people. But the sale took so long because the price was … (6 comments)

port orange real estate: Another Great Reason to Buy Real Estate in Port Orange FL! - 05/16/08 09:07 PM

Home buyers who are thinking about moving to Daytona Beach, make sure you don't overlook the beautiful city of Port Orange, just 7 miles south of Daytona. I'm a Daytona Beach native, I've sold real estate in every city in Volusia county, and I personally live in Port Orange.
One of the best things about Port Orange is the City Center. I've written several posts about events happening at the Port Orange City Center. The event that most locals are familiar with doesn't happen until October, called Port Orange Family Days. So you'll have to wait a few more months … (1 comments)

port orange real estate: Awesome Open Houses! - 02/01/08 03:12 PM
Every so often, Adams Cameron & Co., REALTORS® has an "Open House Extravaganza!" Last weekend was one of those times. Now as you know, for this year, I've made the decision and coined the phrase "Real Estate is Great in 2008"!
Right after Christmas my business started picking up, and it has continued to do so throughout the month of January.
Now, back to our Open House Extravaganza. Our company took out a full-page, full-color ad in the Daytona Beach News Journal and every house in the ad was held open. The last time we did this a few months ago, … (13 comments)

Buy a new house in Port Orange Florida. New construction at it's best!
In my quest to stay abreast of things that can help my real estate clients, I like to frequently visit new housing developments, since every builder offers different perks to their buyers. I compare the prices, floor plans and amenities with other developments and builders in the area.
A couple of days ago I stopped by the Centerline Homes model office at Oakbrook in Port Orange. This is a beautiful community with a very pretty entrance, a children's playground, gazebo, scenic nature trail and a pier overlooking an large … (6 comments)

port orange real estate: How Do You Get Your House or Condo To Sell Faster? - 12/16/07 01:53 PM

Given the nature of the strong buyer's real estate market that we're currently in, I thought this would be a good time to talk to my own real estate sellers about how to get their listings to sell faster, including addressing the subject of home staging. With that being said, I'm going to be very direct with this post.
Home Sellers, I have to tell you, in this market, it's going to take every tip, trick and bit of advice your REALTOR can give you, in order to sell your house. I've stated this many times in my blogs but I'll … (8 comments)

As a REALTOR who was born and raised in the Port Orange area, I know Volusia County like the back of my hand. So I've been writing posts to share my first-hand knowledge with the public. The great thing about living in Volusia County is its' close proximity to a couple of larger cities as well. We have the best of both worlds.
A little background about Port Orange...
It was established on the banks of the Halifax River in 1867.In 1970, Port Orange was home to only 3,871 people. After selling real estate each day in the familiarity of my home county … (4 comments)
