My last post was a reblog of C Tann Star's post about recent changes on Facebook, that allowed random people to add you to groups without your knowledge. At that point, and up until now, I had not had this personally happen to me... that I know of. But just a few minutes ago, I was logged in, and a box popped up at the bottom of my screen, saying that *insert name* had just added me to the group "Please Join! Stop Bullying In Schools!!". Last week I wrote a blog post that voiced my concern about the copyright violations that can occur with the pictures and/or photos we take for our real estate listings. In our MLS, there is no copyright protection, so I've begun watermarking my images. But based on your comments, I've discovered that in some areas, the opposite is the case. I'll start this post by stating that I am NOT a professional photographer. But I do go through great pains to get the best images I can for my real estate listings and sellers. That being said; if your Multiple Listing Service (MLS) is like ours, once an image is uploaded to a listing, you lose your copyright protection of those images (Just think about how many sites pickup our listings to help us sell them). This is another beautiful photo by my friend Nick. I've been waiting to show this one. I think it's another astounding capture, which seems to be an amazing talent of Nick's. It also make me stop and think about how often beauty is mixed with danger. We all know that bees and other stinging or biting nuisances can be found among flowers. This morning I received an e-mail from a local, husband-and-wife team of real estate home inspectors, regarding new, Florida legislation for home inspectors. These home inspectors (who have done an excellent job for my buyers on many occasions in the past) have decided to no longer offer home inspection services. (FYI- they have always been priced VERY competitively, and have still done a great job!) Apparently, as of July 1, there are new Florida requirements for real estate home inspectors.
