real estate agent: Wordless Wednesday. Fragrant Flower from My Own Home. By Lisa Hill, Port Orange REALTOR® - 09/02/09 06:05 PM
It's time for another Wordless Wednesday post... with a few words  ;-)  I almost forgot about this photo. I just wish I could send the overpowering fragrance through the monitor, along with this photo. It's incredible! So incredible that if I bring a few inside, I can only place one in a room, at a time! So you'll have to imagine that part. And I hope you enjoy the photo =)

Following my post from last week's Wordless Wednesday, I though this would be a nice choice for this week's photo.
As usual, my post is not wordless, but the photo is. Enjoy your speculations, make your guesses, and leave your comments. I look forward to reading them  =)  *Sorry this one's a little blurry. Explanation will follow ;-)

This isn't spam is it? It sounds so legit. I'd better act quickly! This poor woman lost a loved one... (I wonder which one, since that part happens to be blank) and this money needs to get to charity! My goodness! I must help her right away!
This is legit, right? Don't you all agree? Here's this poor woman's plea of desperation...

real estate agent: A Very Cool Cake! Photo Taken by Lisa Hill, Daytona Beach Native. Please Take Time to Read the Blog Too! - 07/12/09 04:55 PM
It's that time again... time for a REALTOR® to show another aspect of their personality. So here I am, to throw my hat into the ring on yet another Speechless Sunday. And as usual, I'm unable to be "speechless" =P  But as I share this week's photo with you, as usual I will draw the line at any type of description, or discussion regarding the photo itself. But I want to preclude my photo with a little statement about my personal thoughts about photos and any type of art.
Most of the photos we see here on Wordless Wednesday and Speechless … (15 comments)

real estate agent: It's Sunday. Time for Another Photo Blog by Lisa Hill, Daytona Beach Area REALTOR® - 06/28/09 04:24 PM
Hello to all my real estate readers out there in blogland =)  A couple of weeks ago, in lieu of a typical real estate post, I gave you an explanation of some our photo-oriented posts. This is another one of those posts, only this one is for Speechless Sunday. Follow the preceding link to discover the "rules" of our photo-oriented posts. In this post, the word "Speechless" is a hint, but I never have a blog with no words at all ;-)
Enjoy the photo...   (Real Estate Information Links are below the photo)

real estate agent: A Very Different Real Estate Blog, by Lisa Hill. Variety is a Good Thing - 06/21/09 03:05 PM
As you all know, this is my real estate blog. But sometimes we like to change things up a bit. And today is a perfect day to combine some of our (my) favorite things. Around here on Active Rain, on Sundays we like to do a little thing called "Speechless Sundays". Speechless Sundays are like Wordless Wednesdays. We post a photo with no description of it, and you have the privilege of interpreting the photo in your own way.
But this Sunday is extra special. Today is Father's Day! And I have an awesome dad. My parents only live about 20 … (19 comments)

real estate agent: It's Wednesday Again. You Know What That Means? - 06/10/09 06:33 PM
Hello and Happy Wednesday to all my fellow real estate enthusiasts and loyal readers. Perhaps you've noticed the new pattern to my Wednesday blogs? I explained it in last Wednesday's blog. If you missed that one, you can find it here >> Wordless Wednesday Explanation for my Readers. Hungry Anyone? Of course, it seems that I have yet to fully accomplish the "Wordless" part. LOL  But as best I can, I'm sticking to posting the photos, without a description. (Read last week's blog and description, to learn the reason for this.)
Enjoy this week's feature photo...
Now for the real estate … (8 comments)

real estate agent: How Would You Answer This Question? Did the REALTOR® Lie? Is That Even the Issue? - 06/08/09 12:17 AM
If you're familiar with the Trulia real estate site, you may know that REALTORS® can setup their accounts to e-mail them with any questions that have been posted in their areas they work. I have Trulia setup to e-mail me when questions have been posted about real estate in Volusia county, (although I only work in East Volusia county IE: the Daytona Beach area).
This evening while I was blogging, a question popped up in my e-mail from a home owner in West Volusia county; specifically, Deltona. I'm posting this here for anyone to comment on either my blog, or on … (74 comments)

real estate agent: Speechless Sunday (Belated) - 06/07/09 07:06 PM
Oops! I'm a little bit late getting my Speechless Sunday blog posted. I'm now about an hour into Monday. Doh!  But when you read my next blog post, you'll understand the delay.
I received an e-mail from Trulia, with a question from a distressed home owner, and I felt obligated to answer. Once I finish this post, I'll post my next one, featuring the Trulia question that distracted me, and I'll ask others to add their 2 cents in helping to cheer up this unhappy home owner. But for now, here's my photo for (yesterday's) Speechless Sunday... Hmm.  I just realized … (4 comments)

real estate agent: Wordless Wednesday Explanation for my Readers. Hungry Anyone? - 06/03/09 05:18 PM
It's good to have variety. For my readers who are wondering what this "Wordless Wednesday" stuff is about, I didn't come up with this concept.
Just what is this "concept"? The idea is to insert posts into our regular blogs, that are all about one particular photo. There are many Active Rain participants who have been following this idea for quite a while now. But I only started a couple of weeks ago. And I'm loving it! I don't know why I didn't start partcipating sooner.
A bit more information... When participating in Wordless Wednesday, if Active Rain bloggers want to … (22 comments)

real estate agent: Florida Nature and our Fun Little Critters. By Lisa Hill, Daytona Beach REALTOR® - 05/25/09 06:29 AM
This is going to be a short little blog post about one of Florida's little green critters. I guess I should clarify that sometimes they're brown. And sometimes they're tan. And sometimes they're somewhere in between. They're lizards of course. They're the little buggers that dart in the door when you're not looking, leaving you desperately trying to catch them before the cats do (if you have cats) or perhaps you're just trying to get them out of your house!
Being a native of this area, I find them amusing, and I know how fast they are! Those suckers are hard … (15 comments)

real estate agent: Hurricane Season Starts June 1st, but Flooding Is Happening Now! Are you Prepared? - 05/22/09 06:27 PM
As I was preparing to write a post regarding your emergency preparation items for hurricane season, which starts June 1st, the Daytona Beach area simultaneously began experiencing extreme flooding after 6 straight days of often torrential rain. And it's not finished yet. Weather reporters are predicting possible record-breaking rain for the month of May. So your Emergency Preparation Items may apply to the current rain and flooding problems, as well as your usual, advance preparation items for Hurricane Season.
I'm blessed to live in a neighborhood of Port Orange that as far as I know, has never flooded. Even as our … (1 comments)

real estate agent: Ormond-by-the-Sea Real Estate; 2009 1st Quarter Listings and Sales Report - 05/20/09 11:07 AM
This real estate update is for the 2009 1st quarter real estate listings and sales report for Ormond-by-the-Sea Florida.
As I've done with some of the other city reports for the 1st quarter of Volusia county, in this report I'll include a short explanation of the Daytona Beach area, and the 7 cities it encompasses. Ormond-by-the-Sea is quite simply, the city on the farthest north side of Volusia County, but it's only on the beachside.
Ormond-by-the-Sea is a unique city; unlike other cities in Volusia County. It's the last city before Flagler county, and it seems appropiate that it feels like … (4 comments)

real estate agent: More Historic Landmarks in Daytona Beach Florida: From a Daytona Beach Native! - 05/17/09 01:59 PM
A couple of days ago I posted to this blog, some amazing photos that are a well-kept secret of the Daytona Beach area. I took those photos on the way to take pictures of a new townhouse/condo I had listed as a Short-Sale. Unfortunately, the historic structures in that blog were in a horrible state of disrepair.
This particular building had some major renovations a few years ago. It's located right on Hwy. 92 aka International Speedway Blvd. which is a main thoroughfare. This is what prompted the city to do some major restorations on it. And it's beautiful during the … (3 comments)

real estate agent: Photos of Fading History. The Loss of a Dream. - 05/15/09 10:31 AM
As a REALTOR®, I usually keep my camera handy at all times. You never know when I'll get a call from a real estate seller who is ready to list their house or condo. It saves time if I have my camera with me.
I also like to stop at random times, to take pictures of beautiful, fascinating, or interesting, photo-worthy locations I find during my day. Well in this case, I've actually been wanting to photograph this location for a long time. And as luck would have it, I just listed a townhouse near this location, so I killed two … (7 comments)

real estate agent: Wilbur-by-the-Sea Real Estate Report; 1st Quarter Listings and Sales 2009 - 04/27/09 12:46 PM
It's time for me to continue with my first quarter real estate reports for each city in East Volusia County. For the 1st Quarter of 2009 we're comparing New Listings, Total Number of Listings and the Number of Sales for each city. And for some cities I've separated the condo listings and sales from the houses or in one particular city (Daytona Beach Shores) we looked at the totals for each category, then just pulled the condos into a seperate category.
So far we've covered Port Orange, South Daytona, Daytona Beach and Daytona Beach Shores. In this post we're going to … (0 comments)
