Last week I posted my first blog about this year's real estate Parade of Homes for Volusia County. The models have been open for over a week, since the winner was already chosen. Did you know March 15 through April 15 is Florida Heritage month? I only recently found out, and I'm a 4th generation Florida native, born in Daytona Beach, just a few short miles from Ponce Inlet. There's even a FHM Commemorative Poster. Ponce Inlet Florida hosts a lot of local events, since there are so many fantastic public gathering places there. Each year in October, the city of Port Orange, which lies just south of Daytona Beach, has a huge event called Port Orange Family Days. Well, this year the city of Port Orange is also having "Port Orange Family Days: Kidz Days" this Thursday through Sunday, March 20-23. Daytona Beach real estate is finally going green! Well, actually, it’s Ormond Beach.ICI Homes has a “green” community on Granada Blvd., (aka Hwy 40) in Ormond Beach that is now in phase 2.
