I realize that many of my blogs are about food.  I confess that I love food, and I particularly love trying new restaurants and food stores! On Saturday, I dropped by a client's new home to celebrate their recent purchase and to deliver some flowers. A trip to the grocery store to buy the flowers for them resulted in a stop at the bread store next door to buy bread for me! The Preakness is over but there still are some interesting factoids to consider! The Preakness is run every year on the third Saturday in May at Pimlico Racetrack in Baltimore.  It comes after the Kentucky Derby and before the race at Belmont in New York State.  
First run in 1873, the Preakness Stakes was named by a former Maryland Governor after a winning colt at Pimlico.
