Forgive me for a little poke at the global warming crowd, but this year's variation in climate has grabbed my attention.
The cherry blossoms at the tidal basin bloomed a month early. Other flowering trees have already blossomed, and are now leafing. Our forests of oak, hickory, poplar, and beech began leafing a week ago instead of mid-april.
