I was showing houses last week near the Sam Houston Race Track and noticed these fabulous tall sunflowers.
There were sunflowers in different life stages.
This one with the black head looks really interesting. The black is a good contrast to the vibrant green.
Here a sunflower is just about to unfurl its petals. You can kind of see the inside of the flower around the petals.
Somehow, a zinnia got mixed in with the sunflowers. It sure is a great burnt orange color.

Goregous picture of Banff National Park. This is not my picture, but I hope to take a great one this summer when I visit. Banff National Park is in Canada and is a pristinely beautiful place. I am looking forward to the trip to the Park and Lake Louise. If you have been to Banff National Park, please give me some pointers on some lodging, hikes or photo spots you particularly like.

This was taken on the way back from the Sandcastle Contest Saturday June 2nd, 2012. This shot was from the Galveston causeway.
This was from the causeway looking the other direction toward the new railroad bridge. The middle part of the bridge lifts up for barges and boats to pass under.
This stunning sunset was taken through the tree. It almost looks like the tree is on fire.
The same sunset from a different angle. According to the sign across the street it was June 4th, 2012. If you are (2 comments)

These shots were taken from my Century 21 Hardee-Team Real Estate office front porch. I am looking west and the buildings in the pictures are of Lone Star College and the Tomball Community Library.

I think they think I have food with me today, but I wasn't prepared. Sorry ducks, maybe next time.
I like this shot, I can see the reflection of the duck's neck in the water, yet I can also see his foot under the water.
Look at the color of the feathers on this duck. I must have been at just the right angle to get the color to come out such a light blue hue. The water is very (1 comments)
Last night I pulled up to Panera Bread on Texas 249 only to find a mirror image car to mine in front of me. I immediately parked and took some pictures.
This is the first time I've seen another white Nissan just like my car, so I didn't dare miss the opportunity to take the pictures.
They are really cute cars. The reflectors add a nice touch to the pictures. (1 comments)

Luling City Market was mentioned by Texas Monthly in the June 2008 issue. Don't let the line deter you. It is worth the wait.
After you come in the door, you will go into this entrance under the sign. That is where you get your BBQ.

It's About Time For Santa To Visit Heatherwood Village -- December 2011 Each year in December Santa rides a Cy-Creek Fire Engine around Heatherwood Village, and his helpers throw candy and toys to the children that come out to see him pass by. This usually happens one or two Saturday's before Christmas about 10am. They go down every street in the subdivision, so you hear the sirens long before he gets to your house, and they go slow so everybody has a chance to make it to the street in time to see Santa go by.

What cute colors on these retro purses. The colors are better in person. I think I will have to go back and buy one of these.
Don't miss the hay ride at the Depot at 6pm. Sounds like fun.

This orange car had an extended rear end. It's one of the longest station wagons I have ever seen. It looks like it would fit a surf board.
Great Texas star wheels.
I don't know if this was an car show entrant or just a car of an observer, but I really like the great cherry red color of this corvette.
Hmmm... wonder what this license plate means, the last porsche?? Nice color contrast between the canary yellow and black.
