magnolia realtor: Buckets of Fun at the AIA Galveston Sand Castle Contest June 2nd 2012 - 06/06/12 06:30 AM
Galveston AIA Sand Castle Contest -- June 2nd, 2012.  For a fun outing, make sure and go to the Sand Castle Contest on East Beach in Galveston the first Saturday of June each year.  There are some wonderful sand castles, as well as some funny and innovative ones as well.

There were also prizes for the Best Team Costume. These were very creative.  I love the red sign and dragon on the wood planks.  Each team had a rectangle to construct their sand castle in, for this one they had a dragon around three sides of the rectangle.  It was impressive.  … (0 comments)

Sunset Photos From Your Houston Real Estate Professional

This was taken on the way back from the Sandcastle Contest Saturday June 2nd, 2012.   This shot was from the Galveston causeway.

This was from the causeway looking the other direction toward the new railroad bridge.   The middle part of the bridge lifts up for barges and boats to pass under.

This stunning sunset was taken through the tree.   It almost looks like the tree is on fire.

The same sunset from a different angle.  According to the sign across the street it was June 4th, 2012.

In honor of Titanic I have attached some nautical pictures.

This old steel ship has run aground.

OMG, The Trees Are Putting On A Vibrant Show in Houston This Year!!  I think it has something to do with the drought and cold weather, but I don't remember the trees having such vibrant colors here in Houston in the Fall.

This tree is in Heatherwood Village and I see the color change every day.  Wow, it is beautiful.

These trees are on Louetta in front of the Courtyard.

Lovely golden leaves on the trees in the courtyard of the parking lot at University Park at HP at FM 249 and Louetta.

It's About Time For Santa To Visit Heatherwood Village -- December 2011
Each year in December Santa rides a Cy-Creek Fire Engine around Heatherwood Village, and his helpers throw candy and toys to the children that come out to see him pass by.  This usually happens one or two Saturday's before Christmas about 10am.  They go down every street in the subdivision, so you hear the sirens long before he gets to your house, and they go slow so everybody has a chance to make it to the street in time to see Santa go by.

Santa and his helpers were driving down … (0 comments)

Rain Predicted in The Houston Area For Tonight and Tomorrow, Yipee!!
We are so behind on rain, we relish every drop of rain we get.  Our grass and trees are dying and there is still an extreme wildfire danger, so we want all the rain we can get over the next 36 hours.  Maybe we will get to see some nice electrical storms as well.  Sometimes the lightning is just beautiful.

magnolia realtor: Off With Their Heads!! - 10/01/11 02:37 PM
Off With Their Heads!!  Today their was a preview of The Renaissance Festival in the city of Magnolia from 4pm to 8pm.

King Henry is a friend of mine.  Before he knew I was standing nearby he was chatting with some children.  He was very congenial to them.

All the players were on the Magnolia Stroll, which is behind the businesses facing FM 1774.

These young ladies were nice enough to pose for a picture.

This man proclaimed to be a marriage councilor, wink, wink.

This fence on the stroll has been painted recently.  Most … (2 comments)
