Where is Santa now?  From your Tomball, Texas realtor.  Use the Santa tracker from google to see where he is, where he is going next and how many presents he has delivered.  Very creative.
Click this link:  http://www.google.com/santatracker/#/tracker/dashboard.  Know when to put out your cookies and milk.
If you have been nice and a new house is on your list, but Santa doesn't deliver, call me tomorrow or after January 5th and I would be happy to help you out.

texas: Yellowstone National Park Video -- From Your Tomball Realtor - 04/23/13 09:06 AM
Here is a video about Yellowstone National Park.  It discusses he best season to visit Yellowstone.  I hope you enjoy it and are able to visit Yellowstone yourself someday.  The bison or buffalo are an awesome sight, and, in at least one section of Yellowstone, large herds of bison cross the road at least once a day.  Imagine hundreds of bison walking along and over the road you are driving in on your car.  It is really an awe inspiring sight.  It usually causes a traffic jamb, but everyone can see the bison up close during the slow progression.

texas: Beautiful Texas Wildflowers -- From Your Tomball Realtor - 04/11/13 10:21 AM
Texas Wildflowers from your Tomball realtor.
Cute yellow flower with curly edges.  Nice texas star shape as well.  Think this was taken near Yoakum.

Beautiful bluebonnet picture taken in the same vacinity as the little yellow flower above.

This cute wine cup was calling to me to take its picture.

Indian paint brush and bluebonnets.  The rain came at just the right time this year for the wildflowers.  Hope you can get out and enjoy them.

texas: UP Train Video & Flatonia, TX Photo Pavillion Meeting - 4/6/13 - 04/07/13 09:59 AM
This last Saturday was the annual meeting at the Flatonia Photo Pavillion, where rail fans from all over meet to take photos of trains, buy or sell train memorabilia and just come to visit with other train buffs.  This year the meeting was blessed by perfect weather, the sky was clear most of the time and the temperatures were in the 70's and 80's.

As you can see there is even a wheelchair ramp.  There are several picnic tables to sit at under the cover.   The whole pavillion has great views of the railroad tracks.
Here is a video I took while in downtown Flatonia. http://youtu.be/ySdcmWyGrmw.  … (2 comments)

texas: Interesting Architecture in Texas -- From Your Tomball Realtor - 04/01/13 01:46 AM
These are some of my favorite pictures taken this weekend in Luling and San Antonio.

Luling was pretty deserted yesterday, so I was able to get pictures without cars in front of the buildings.  I like the contrast of the white and aggie maroon on this building, as well as the nice arches and pediments.

I guess this in reference to the Watermelon festival that is held in Luling every year.

Saturday I went to San Antonio and walked from a public parking spot to the Alamo and the River Walk, and saw this nice building.

texas: UP844 Steam Train Video -- November 2012 - 11/08/12 07:29 AM
Great video of UP844 zooming through its trip to Texas, New Mexico and Colorado.  My friend Ed was the engineer on this trip.  The turn out in all the small towns was amazing, with the turnout in Amarillo being so big we had a hard time finding a parking space.  I was told UP844 had never travelled this way.  I was happy so many people turned out to see it.
UP844 is touring America as part of a goodwill tour and to celebrate the UP 150 year anniversary.

texas: Texas Longhorns in Magnolia, Texas -- Oct 2012 - 10/05/12 08:25 AM

Texas longhorns.  This one looks like he is posing, but I zoomed all the way out with my camera, so I don't think he even saw me.

Here is the yellow field of flowers that first interested me enough to stop the car and take pictures.
Then I saw some of these awesome longhorns.  They look nice and healthy.

The horns on these two are different.   I took these pictures on the way from one of my listings going back to the office.  These pictures were taken on FM 1488 near Spur 149.

Goregous picture of Banff National Park.  This is not my picture, but I hope to take a great one this summer when I visit.
Banff National Park is in Canada and is a pristinely beautiful place.  I am looking forward to the trip to the Park and Lake Louise.   If you have been to Banff National Park, please give me some pointers on some lodging, hikes or photo spots you particularly like.

Colorful Austin Residents -- By Your Houston Real Estate Professional
While Alaska has painted salmon on their street corners, Austin has painted cows.

These bovine were on display near the river for all to see.  This one was near the children's park in a group of three cows.

This basketball cow was headed away from the river.  This is sort of near where the bats come out from under the bridge at dusk to feed on mosquitos.

This fancy yeller' cow has lots of cute cowboy boots on it.  Very creative.  I don't know if the cows are … (2 comments)

texas: Fun in Austin, Texas, 5/6/12 By Your Houston Real Estate Professional - 05/12/12 08:14 AM
Fun in Austin, Texas, May 6th, 2012 By Your Houston & Tomball Real Estate Professional

A Round of minuature golf, or putt-putt as we sometimes call it, is a welcome opportunity to have some fun in Austin.  Peter Pan Mini Golf is on Barton Springs Drive.

Don't forget to have a great breakfast or lunch at an Einstein's Bagel's.  Outstanding food and awesome service.  The last time I was at this one (on Hwy 35) the manager made a specialty item for me and served it to me hot out of the oven.  Yumm!!

This beautiful water lily is … (2 comments)

Tom Petty & The HeartBreakers -- UT Austin -- May 5th, 2012
Last Saturday at this time I was driving to Austin to see Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers.  I worked part of the day and then met my husband at the house so we could take a trip to Austin to see Tom Petty.  The concert was really good.  Tom said this was the last leg of the US tour.  He played some oldies from his first and second albums.

Here were some of the songs he sang in his over two hour live performance:

texas: I Love To Travel, But It Is Always Great To Come Home To Texas! - 11/19/11 10:35 AM
I Love To Travel, But It Is Always Great To Come Home To Texas!

I was told that this is a famous picture.  Have you seen it before?  The mountains are the Guadalupe Mountains.

I happened upon a new rest area.

This is one of the fanciest rest areas I've seen in Texas.  It has lots of lovely stone and tile.

The information boards tell about the surrounding area and also about the wind turbine project.

They built some nice picnic areas as well.

When I travel, I always love to see this sign.

texas: A Quick Tour Of Lake Livingston -- Texas State Park By Your Houston Real Estate Professional - 09/12/11 01:10 PM
A Quick Tour Of Lake Livingston By Your Houston Real Estate Professional.  After My Showing on Saturday I Went To Lake Livingston.  I was only 3.5 miles from the exit for the park, so I thought I would go take some pictures.

I'm glad I went over there.  It was nice to see water, after coming from Houston, Tomball and Magnolia where it is so dry that there have been wild fires in Magnolia.

Here is a nice picnic spot to watch the people out on the lake.

This is one of the boat ramps for public use.

Stunning Flowers From Texas -- From Your Houston Real Estate Professional

After being so dry here in the Houston area, it rained for a full day last week.  This cute little flower popped up on Sunday.  It appears to be symmetrically perfect.

I think this is called a balloon flower.  I took the picture on a weekend that I was taking pictures of trains in Texas.

This little batch of flowers also bloomed after the rain last week.  I believe it is a portulaca.

This lovely wine cup (or primrose)  is traditionally a wild flower seen on the … (2 comments)
