Balboa Park, San Diego, California. May 2013 with Russel Ray. Balboa Park was the site of the 1915 to 1916 Panama–California Exposition and 1935–36 California Pacific International Exposition, both of which left architectural landmarks. In 1977 Balboa Park and its beautiful historic Exposition buildings were declared a National Historic Landmark and National Historic Landmark District.
All the buildings in Balboa Park are works of art in their own right. Their are interesting lines, pediments and decorations all over the exterior of the buildings.
This awesome tree is approximately 100 feet high and is next to the foot bridge over the freeway.

Here is a video about Yellowstone National Park. It discusses he best season to visit Yellowstone. I hope you enjoy it and are able to visit Yellowstone yourself someday. The bison or buffalo are an awesome sight, and, in at least one section of Yellowstone, large herds of bison cross the road at least once a day. Imagine hundreds of bison walking along and over the road you are driving in on your car. It is really an awe inspiring sight. The water is so blue down there, it is just beautiful. The ship in the picture is the Norwegian Pearl. My cruise ship was the Carnival Magic.
This is the catamaran that took us out to the stingray sandbar for our interaction with the stingrays. On the way back to the harbor they unfurled the sails and we sailed back by wind power.
Here is one stingray that is looking for food or just to be petted or kissed.
On the search for fall foliage, I stopped in Kleb Woods on the way home from Thanksgiving dinner at my brother's house. While I didn't find a lot of trees showing vibrant reds and yellows, I did see several trees with bright red berries, such as this one.
