The first time buyers tax credit has been extended for all purchase contracts signed by April 30, 2010 & closed by June 30, 2010. Congress has also added a $6500 tax credit for anyone who has owned their current home for at least 5 years to purchase a new home!!

First time buyers can access their homebuyers tax credit now with the help of the Ohio Housing Finance AGency's 2nd mortgage program.
Buyers must meet program income guidelines & complete homebuyer education prior to closing.
Buyer can get up to $8000 to be used for downpayment & closing costs for an FHA loan!
Seller may contribute up to 6% of sale price for buyers closing costs, points & prepaids.
Loan can be paid back prior to July 1, 2010 & buyer will receive $300 credit toward the principal of that mortgage. If not paid back by July 1, 2010, loan begins … (0 comments)

Ohio Housing Finance Agency brings back 2.5% downpayment assistance program for first time buyers meeting income guidelines.  This will help more borrowers purchase homes using FHA financing. They still need 1% of the downpayment- can be a gift & the seller can contribute up to 6% of sale price to pay buyers closing costs, points & prepaids.
