Workers Still Needed For Habit For Humanity June 6 2015 Mason Ohio It's not too late, and we know there are probably lots of procrastinators who haven't signed up yet, but there are still PLENTY of openings for people to help with the annual Christ's Church at Mason Habitat for Humanity event BUILD THE WALLS! This year, we're going to build the walls for SIX homes to go up in Cincinnati's Price Hill community and we still need workers (no carpentry skills needed!) to get the work done! 700 People + 3 Hours + Motivation = Walls For 6 Homes If you wondered what happened to our usual morning post, well something else took priority today! We awoke to sounds of rain falling on the skylight. Normally a welcome sound, but this morning was the Build the Walls for Habitat for Humanity at Christ's Church at Mason! And long before the start of the event, the rain stopped! Paying It Forward: Sponsoring Care Facilities Harvest Day Today our church (Christ's Church at Mason) offered us another opportunity to Pay It Forward. Thursday November 10th at noon they're hosting a Harvest Day for area Senior Adults residing in local area Nursing Care Centers and Assisted Care Centers. The section of our church that takes care of this event is called Evergreen (a pretty cool name for a seniors group don't you think?). So what's involved? Paying It Forward: Helping "His Hands Bear Ministry" The senior group at our church (Christ's Church at Mason) has a very neat outreach program called "His Hands Bear Ministry". Once a month they get together and make dozens and dozens of little bears (about a foot tall from toe tip to top of their heads!). Each bear is truly unique! While the shape may be uniform, the ladies put a lot of creativity into making each bear different, with a variety of fabrics, perhaps a vest or tie, maybe even a hat!
