I'm not a high pressure sales guy.  You might expect me to be if you didn't know me better.  After all, an agent only gets paid when you buy a home and sign the papers, so why wouldn't I want to get to that payday?  Maybe a little arm twisting might make it happen faster, right?
But my basic philosophy when it comes to being a real estate agent has never been about doing what I need to have a quick sale with my clients.  Sure once in a while it's show one, sell one.  But that's not the norm.  I provide … (4 comments)

It happens regularly.
A buyer is looking online for Cincinnati homes for sale.
They find a home listed as a foreclosure.
The home has a ridulously low price when compared to normal neighborhood values.
The buyer gets excited about getting the steal of all steals!
And it's all a lie.
The home isn't for sale.  Not now, and not really ever.
True, there might have been a foreclosure proceeding.  Maybe it was a tax sale, an HOA fee claim or the lender starting the foreclosure process, so the portals pick up the "foreclosure" posting and tell you the home will be going up for auction on X date.  … (2 comments)

You're looking for homes to see and you're checking the list that we sent you, poking around on other websites too, hoping to find that perfect match!  You send us a list of places you want to see and shortly we come back with news you won't like.  Quite a few of the homes you sent us ARE NOT for sale.
Sure, they were at one point, but unless you want to be a back up offer (aka the club the seller uses to keep the first buyer in line), there's not much to be gained by seeing the home.

This Liz Spear Team of RE/MAX Elite home for sale in Maineville's Melrose subdivision is under contract in only 7 days!  Almost as soon as the home was in MLS, the calls for showings started.  Our sellers were getting no break at all and had to spend a lot of time away from home to accomodate all the showings! We know there's much to be said for city life if that's your cup of chai!  Culture, dining, entertainment, unique things that can only be supported when you've got mass quantities of humans packed together! 
For us, we prefer the hybrid life that our area provides.  We're close to Cincinnati or Dayton, a 30 to 40 minute car trip and we're downtown to either.  BUT, we're far enough away that we can enjoy the room that comes with living in the country.  You get the best of both worlds, with the quick access to the city, but the peacefulness of … (6 comments)
