liz spear team: Did You Know There are TWO MLS for Warren County Ohio? - 07/17/10 03:41 AM
Dear Home Seller,
You've chosen to live in a fantastic area!  Some GREAT school systems, tons of entertainment activities, a restaurant for every taste, easy access to both Cincinnati and Dayton.  So many pluses, without the hassle of the cities!
It's that easy access to both cities that should help you decide who your listing agent should be.
Did you know that there is an MLS (Multiple Listing System) for Cincinnati, and a separate one for Dayton?
Our area is served by agents who primarily work Dayton, others who only work from Cincinnati, and others such as The Liz Spear … (0 comments)

liz spear team: Home Sellers, Do Yourself a HUGE Favor! - 07/16/10 04:24 AM
Dear Home Seller, Do you know how you look to the public?  We're not talking the physical home part, but your online appearance?  With most buyers working the Internet hard to find their next home, your online persona is critical! Your agent can't control how you look everywhere online.  With syndication (basically the spreading of your information to other real estate sites), you may be going out to dozens of sites, and each one is formatted differently.  Some get all your photos, some get one.  Some get the full description, others just some basics.  We wish we could edit those, make … (13 comments)

liz spear team: You Know You're Getting Older When... - 07/15/10 02:00 AM

You know you're getting older when something you used to wear is now being reproduced in the Retro Section of Wally World!

'80s Flashback!!!
Can you hear the Miami Vice Theme?  Calling Crockett and Tubbs!
Let's play The Tubes, Bananarama and Flock of Seagulls!
Don't forget to go BIG Hair!
Legwarmers?  Check!
We're NOT going to breakdance, or we'd put the "BREAK" in the dance!
What's your favorite '80s memory? (for those of you old enough to have memories from then!)
Hope you have a great day!

liz spear team: The Forecast is Foggy! - 07/14/10 04:54 AM
The road ahead is foggy, the crystal ball is full of mud, no one knows for sure what the real estate market is going to do!
For every voice that says things are getting better, someone else will counter with more doomsaying!  Anyone who tells you they know FOR SURE is probably smoking something besides a cigar!  Real estate is so local, that listening to the national voices is a waste of time except for knowing the big picture items regarding taxes, credits and the like.  Within a town, the outlook can vary just within a few streets of each other.  … (6 comments)

liz spear team: The Needle Stung Slightly - 07/14/10 02:10 AM
He leaned back as he felt the needle stick slightly as it slid under the skin of his left arm.  How long would it take this time?  It was that same old feeling he'd felt MANY times before, going back to high school, through college and following him through his professional life.  But this habit, it didn't keep him from being successful.  Most people wouldn't have known he had this habit he couldn't quit.  Every couple of months, it would call him back and he couldn't resist!

STOP!!  This isn't what you think!  Your Realtor isn't some hopped up … (9 comments)

liz spear team: Liz Spear Team News July 2010 Personal Page - 07/12/10 03:44 PM
Pictured to the right you’ll find the kitties most favorite place to be during the day—  their outside enclosure weather and schedule permitting.  If I’m not in a position during my day to 1) carry them out [individually] and 2) keep an ear open for any ’cat’-astrophe , then they have to stay indoors.  Speaking from experience, pets are like perpetual two year olds with four feet and fur.  And if you have more than one it isn’t a matter of if it’s just a matter of when they get into a disagreement.  And as Cesar Milan says:  we must be … (0 comments)

liz spear team: Pick Me! Pick Me! - 07/12/10 01:50 AM

Pick Me!  Pick Me!  Isn't that what the prospective home seller hears when they're interviewing agents? There are over 6000 real estate agents in the Cincinnati-Dayton area.  Every potential home seller probably knows directly or indirectly several people who are agents, and maybe even a couple of relatives in the bunch! So if you're lucky enough to be interviewed over co-worker Wally and Uncle Fred, how do you stand out from the rest of the crowd during interviews? Do you try to find out who you're competing against to look for an edge, or do you let your presentation stand … (4 comments)

liz spear team: Who We Are, Part 1, An Engineer's Story - 07/08/10 02:24 AM
Yesterday we posted http://activerain.com/blogsview/1731400/who-are-you- asking for the ActiveRain Members to do more in their blog posts than just post News copy/pastes and listings.  Well, it wouldn't be fair to ask for that, and not open up ourselves a bit more, so here's Part 1, Bill's Story!Hello, I'm Bill and I'm an Engineer/Realtor.  I know it's an unusual combination, and I know engineers scare some agents!  (But here's the secret, just show us the data, don't try to song and dance us with some glitzy, fluffy presentation and you'll be fine!)I'm a mutt.  I can't claim any specific heritage.  I won't be … (0 comments)
