Why are you in real estate? Why are you here in the Rain? Why do you blog? Why, why, why?? And if you're like me, the whys can change over the years. Why am I in real estate? I'm in real estate because 22 years ago Liz became an agent and after a couple of years working on a team she wanted some help and to split from that team, so it was either hire help or I get my license. There's an entire spectrum of reasons to blog, ranging from purely social to purely business. A quick scroll through ActiveRain's blog roll and it's easy to see the variety of motivations for blogging. We each find a personal reason to start blogging. What you may find is the reason you started blogging and the reason you continue to blog (or even decide to stop) may change over time. Michael Jacobs gave me cause this weekend to revisit a post from 2011. What I saw was a snapshot into a different version of ActiveRain than exists for me now. Much more social, more conversation in the comment threads, and a post I'd written just for fun, not for business. My purpose for being here has evolved over the years, much more business generating posts and far fewer just for fun type posts similar to that one.
