Divorce is so many things. Emotional, difficult, buried in paperwork, multiple decisions, etc. But when it is over, it should be OVER right? If you have children you will always be tied through co-parenting. You love your kids, they love you. That is the way it should be. But, tied through the house? That can be a dangerous place to be! Keeping your name on the mortgage can have disastrous financial effects. Co-owing the house after divorce can have disastrous effects as well.
