I think wearing my "Let It Rain" shirt did the trick! By noontime today some much needed rain is expected to begin to hit San Francisco, making it's way down the Peninsula and into Silicon Valley. Yes, I listen to the weather forecast, but it confirm it with a look out my window. Here are a couple of shots early this morning. Get your umbrellas ready!

We had rain today! Now, to some people in many parts of this country and Canada that might be an annoyance. To others it might be appreciated simply because it isn't snow. The January full-moon evening was the perfect time to get out for some exercise in lovely San Francisco. The air was balmy, the winds calm, the late afternoon sun sent its rays across the hills, the full moon gradually grew brighter and shone on the water as darkness fell.

One of the pleasures of living my San Francisco dream is that it is so easy to enjoy some of the fabulous events our City has to offer, as we did last weekend when we went to the San Francisco Opera's performance of Tosca. Life in San Francisco - an evening walk to the Buena Vista Popular with visitors and residents alike, there's something special about the Buena Vista, a "saloon" which opened in 1916. It's location near Fisherman's Wharf and Ghirardelli Square and the terminus of the favorite Powell/Hyde St cable car line is appealing, and it's a fine place for a casual meal.
