How has the pandemic affected San Mateo County real estate?
With all the uncertainty in the financial markets as well as real estate not being considered an essential service for many weeks, it's interesting to take a look at these statistics.
The Infographic above shows June 2020 compared to May 2020 for both single family homes and condos. Prices are up, and number of listings are up, for both homes and condos. Days on market hover around the one-month mark for both, signs of a strong sellers' market.

What's the market like? That's a question I hear often.
In most of our San Mateo County and Silicon Valley towns, as well as in San Francisco, there is a shortage of inventory, with many ready and able buyers for the few listings available. 
Today we'll take a look at Belmont, California, a town with a population of roughly 26,750. The following information for single-family homes was compiled this morning from our Multiple Listing Service.

The San Francisco Peninsula, from San Francisco through Silicon Valley, has a booming real estate market at present, but is this a new phenomenon?
That's a question I often hear. I know from being in the trenches, representing buyers and sellers, that the market is strong. We'll take a look here at three San Mateo County towns, San Carlos (where my office is located) and the two adjacent towns, Belmont and Redwood City.
We'll look today at median sale prices for single family homes from 2010 through April, 2015. These statistics come from MLS Listings, our multiple listing service.

The Silicon Valley has a booming real estate market at present, but is this a new phenomenon?
That's a question I often hear. I know from being in the trenches, representing buyers and sellers, that the market is strong, but let's take a look just how strong it is in four of the Silicon Valley towns where I work, Palo Alto, Mountain View, Sunnyvale and Cupertino.
