polk street: My Saturday morning routine - 05/23/20 12:26 PM
This morning, Ron and Alexandra Seigel posted the most adorable photo and described what has become a Saturday morning routine for them. If you've missed their post, take a look here.
While my Saturday morning routine doesn't take me past anything quite as adorable, it is a pleasure to me nonetheless.
The morning starts with a trip to Whole Foods  at 8:00 AM, during "senior" hours. The entire trip takes 35 minutes; 10 minute walk there, breeze right into the sanitized store, shop in uncrowded conditions, straight through the check out, where the checker carefully wipes down the checkstand food belt between every … (30 comments)

polk street: Off Market Opportunity, Nob Hill, San Francisco - 10/09/19 07:50 PM
The owners of this lovely Edwardian condo on Nob Hill have decided that after over 20-plus years here it is time for them to leave their cherished home and move on with the next phase of their lives.
The next couple of months will find them busy packing up their many years of treasures and preparing the home for the market.
This provides a wonderful opportunity for buyers, since the sellers are willing to allow me to show the home during this period to interested, qualified buyers. The sellers would entertain offers before the property goes on the multiple listing service.
Some details:

polk street: Meet Mila Hutchinson, Restorative Bodywork, San Francisco - 01/17/18 08:37 PM
We're fortunate to live in San Francisco where there are plenty of good service providers. However, finding the best of the bunch isn't always easy, so today I'd like to introduce you to Restorative Bodywork by Mila Hutchinson.
While Mila is a superb massage therapist who understands and utilizes a number of different types of massage practices, her true calling is as a pain specialist, utilizing neuromuscular reprogramming.

I went to Mila one day a number of years ago when my regular massage therapist wasn't available. It didn't take more than a few minutes to know I had found the right person to … (6 comments)

"We think we want to buy an investment condo in San Francisco; how do we start?"
So began a recent email and phone exchange between past clients and me.

While in most parts of the country their target price would give them a multitude of choices, here in San Francisco choices are limited. However, there are … (19 comments)

polk street: Two San Francisco condos in the Polk Street Neighborhood - 04/28/15 09:52 AM
Yesterday I wrote a post about Tuesday is Tour Day in San Francisco. I mentioned the four condos I planned to see during the alloted time span, all quite different in amenities, location and price.
It was a banner tour day--all 4 of these are wonderful places in their own right, all quite different from one another, serving different types of buyers.
Today I'll tell you about the first two I visited, the two in the Polk Street neighborhood, one of the popular San Francisco neighborhoods with eclectic mom-and-pop shops of all descriptions. Located near the western base of Nob Hill, walkability and … (8 comments)
