stinson beach: One Night Away - a fresh approach to life

The month of July was an extraordinary one for me in the real estate world. Great things resulted from the long hours, but a planned one-night get away had to be postponed. This week we finally had the chance to head on our short adventure. Day One: This car-less adventure saw us head out the door with overnight backpacks, over North Beach with a stop at our friend's cafe (Pat's Cafe) for a leisurely breakfast and then down to Pier 41where a ferry boat took us across the bay to Sausalito via Angel Island and Tiburon. As a San Francisco and Silicon Valley Realtor®, weekends are usually a time to work. Saturday was no exception and the open house at the condo at 1 Elm Street #303 in San Carlos was well-attended by potential buyers. Yesterday was Easter Sunday, and a day off. What better way is there to celebrate renewal than by heading outdoors for some exercise in gorgeous surroundings? Stinson Beach and the slopes of Mt. Wordless Wednesday - well, not quite wordless This is a photo taken by Blanche Shamoon on one of her hikes on the slopes of Mt. Tamalpais in Marin County, CA. After a long, dry summer, our hillsides are golden brown; in a few weeks the first of the rains are likely,and by November, young green sprouts will be visible under the dried grasses. By January, the hillsides will be brilliantly green with new grasses waving to and fro. Summertime, and the Livin' is Easy -----Those lyrics float through my head on days like today. Yesterday it was 87-degrees in San Francisco, and off-shore breezes made it a perfect beach day. Today promises more of the same.
This shot of Stinson Beach, in Marin County, California, was taken by my friend, Blanche Shamoon. Blanche is the director of Tea Garden Springs, my favorite Zen spa, in nearby Mill Valley. The last week in February my husband and I took a few days of R&R and indulged in one of our favorite activities, hiking in the gorgeous hills of the San Francisco Bay area. These snapshots were taken on the slopes of Mt. Tamalpais in Marin County, just across the Golden Gate bridge from San Francisco.
