While exploring San Francisco, especially on foot, one has the opportunity to really focus on small things, like the color red. Once you start to focus, you see red everywhere.
Sometimes it's hard to miss, like the red dress of the White Crane Troop of musicians welcoming in Chinese New Year, or the brilliant red of the mini free library and bench in front of a residence in Presidio Heights.
You will find red on all sorts of transportation options, and they are many in San Francisco, both people-powered and motorized.

walking adventures: Gratitude - Post #2 - Little Free Libraries - 11/09/18 07:33 PM
Today  Kasey & John Boles wrote a post about their fabulous public library in Nampa, Idaho, expressing gratitude for the breadth of programs and services it offers.
Expanding on that theme, I'd like to say I'm also grateful for the many Little Free Libraries that I find all over San Francisco as well as in the suburban towns on the Peninsula and elsewhere. No doubt you've spotted them in your areas as well.
Since walking around San Francisco is something I enjoy and a major source of exercise for me (think hills and staircases!) spotting little free libraries is a delight.
