With a land mass of 305 square miles, New York City is the most densely populated city in the country. It's no wonder that our streets are constantly suffering the effects of heavy traffic. To be specific - the job of filling our potholes seems to an endless task. Historically, the potholes have been filled with a toxic mixture of asphalt, kerosene, and diesel fuel. The twin-towered Century is part of the Central Park West Historic District, which was first recognized by the U.S. National Register of Historic Places in 1982; and was declared a landmark by the New York Landmarks Preservation Commission in 1985. The Dakota's exterior harkens to the North German Renaissance style of architecture, with its high gables, deep roofs, and a profusion of terra cotta spandrels and panels, dormers, niches, balustrades, and balconies. My crystal ball has a crack in it, and the image is fuzzy. At least that's how it feels when I sit down to figure out where the real estate market is headed. Every day we hear conflicting reports, and the prognosticators seem to change their minds regularly. The stock market roller coaster has not made it easy to determine where the economy is headed.
