settlement agent king county: Can you have too much fun in Belltown, Seattle? (Part II) - 02/15/10 11:15 AM
Can you have too much fun in Belltown, Seattle?
Earlier I wrote about my friend & I meeting in Belltown, Seattle to try out the new restaurant, "List".  We really didn't have a plan to visit any specific place when we left List, but agreed that we would play it by ear.
Right around the corner from List, is Belltown Billiards, how could we walk right by this place?  So we went in for a drink and to play a game of pool.  This place has 8 pool tables, which is adjacent to their new "ultra lounge areas", which is designed with groups … (0 comments)

settlement agent king county: Here sits the 3rd largest aquarium in Washington State! - 02/10/10 04:34 AM
After hearing that I was awarded 2500 points on Active Rain yesterday (Thank you Active Rain & Jim Frimmer!!),I was inspired to go out and take a few shots of my neighborhood.
In yesterday afternoon's blog, I gave you a shot of the waterfront of Redondo Washington, the building in this photograph is actually part of the buildings that you see in yestersdays blog, but this one is special.  It is the home of the Marine Science & Tech Center which is owned by Highline Community College.
This center represents the only college owned facility with direct saltwater access and it … (0 comments)

settlement agent king county: While the East Coast is getting hammered by Snow... - 02/09/10 10:35 AM
Yes, while the East Coast is getting hammered by snow, we in the Pacific Northwest are enjoying a very mild winter.  In fact, can you even call it a winter?
The Olympic Winter Games are being held in Vancouver, BC, which is just 162 miles north of us.  This is the warmest January in Vancouver history - really bad timing, but what can you do?  Bring the snow in by helicopter and they have:  5,000 cubic meters so far!
Last year, we were hammered with the biggest snowfall I remember having here - ever.  I took this photo at lunch today.  … (3 comments)

settlement agent king county: Are you wondering when your Trustees Sale date is REALLY scheduled? - 01/23/10 03:07 AM
Are you wondering when your Trustees Sale date is really scheduled?  Depending on who the acting Trustee is, you may be able to find this information on line.  On one of my current escrows, the Trustee is "ReconTrust" and their website gives you all of this information on line.
Northwest Trustee Services is another familiar company that handles many sales here in the Pacific Northwest.  You can find their auction dates here.
So many of our real estate transactions are now short sales with Trustees Sales looming.  Your title report can only give you information that is "of record" and once … (2 comments)

settlement agent king county: Today marks the Winter Solstice, 2009 - 12/21/09 04:23 AM
Today marks the Winter Solstice for 2009.  What this means for us in the Pacific Northwest is that the sun rises at 7:55 a.m. and sets at 4:20 p.m., which gives us just 8 hours, 25 minutes and yes, 15 seconds of daylight on this day.
The Winter Solstice is full of tradition and history dating back to ancient times.  I for one am glad to be back on the upswing into
the daylight for 2010 - leaving the darkness behind us for another year.
I took this photo last week.  What you see glowing is the Columbia Tower, downtown Seattle, … (4 comments)
