The Salt Lake City homebuyer today wants it all!
Just a few of the items today's Salt Lake City real estate homebuyer is seeking: a home for sale in great condition with rooms that can do double duty. Areas that mingle indoor and outdoor living -- patios, porches, decks and outdoor rooms -- are always a plus. salt lake: The Biggest Mistake by Sellers - 02/06/11 06:26 PM
When the average Utah home seller sits down to interview real estate agents, it's easy to get caught up in the excitement over choosing a sales price. General consensus is, more money means more financial opportunities for the homeowner. Perhaps it means the seller can afford to buy a more expensive home, help pay for a child's college education or take that greatly overdue vacation. Unfortunately, uninformed sellers often choose the Salt Lake City listing agent who suggests the highest list price, which is the worst mistake a seller can make. The truth is it doesn't really matter how much money … (0 comments)

salt lake: Real Estate Industry Moves Toward Going Paperless. - 01/27/11 05:54 PM
No one can argue that, over the last decade, technology has made leaps and bounds. Can anyone remember having to find properties in the filing drawers on 3X5 index cards, or in those old books? We've definitely come a long way and we continue with new and remarkable improvements each year. The new trend, as of late, is going completely paperless! Tools, such as the IPad, are making this possible. Can you imagine how phenomenal this will be when every realtor, title and mortgage professional will use this technology?
Many savvy agents are already on board with more following suit.  Going … (3 comments)

salt lake: How a Foreclosure will affect you - 01/13/11 07:25 PM
It's no surprise that, with the slow economy over the last few years, many people across the country have felt the stress in the finances.  Thousands of homeowners have found themselves in the unfortunate position of struggling to pay their bills every month, especially their mortgage.  Now, they are facing a possible foreclosure.  Have you ever wondered how a foreclosure will affect you?

salt lake: Salt Lake County Mortgage Rates are hovering under 5% - 01/13/11 07:56 AM
Mortgage rates in Salt Lake County are still at all-time lows.  With 30 year rates hovering just below 5%, many first time home buyers and investors are considering coming out of the closet.
Should the home buyer take action now, or should they wait for further lowering of Mortgage rates?  My belief is that rates are only going up.  Now is the time to take action!
With an abundance of short sale and bank owned properties on the market, the combination of lower rates and lower prices on existing homes for sale, there could not be a better time to buy.
