For those that were effected by Hurricane Irene, you'll be happy to know that as of September 19 the New York state Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA) is offering grants, for replacement of damaged appliances as a result of the hurricane. Yesterday our Office sponsored a Gold Party - a fantastic fund raiser benefiting "People to People" of Rockalnd County! It's the only fundraiser I know of where you leave your wallet at home and walk out with money in your pocket and it 's a win-win for everyone involved. It's a fundraiser where everyone makes money. There's a senior residential community that abuts the congregation I belong to. The most senior member of this congregtion ( a women close to 90) was in mourning for the loss of her brother, her last remaining sibling. This morning I paid her a condolence call.
