Unfortunately, following the 7 "easy steps" wasn't very easy!  I'm having difficulties setting up a "like" button.
If anyone knows a simple way to paste the iframe into active rain, please let me know!

new ipswich: Dirty, Dirty, Dirty Water - 06/12/11 11:27 AM
We live in the country.  Those uninformed "city folk" might think our drinking water that comes from a well is DIRTY, DIRTY, DIRTY, Country water.  Although people have an idea that our well water is "dirty" like the glass illustrated to the right, the water is clean like the picture you see below!
Many years ago when I was doing some consulting for a Boston based firm, one of my colleagues came to visit me in Brookline, New Hampshire and would not drink my water.  Although I had a water softener, and an artesian well he would not drink it.  "No … (9 comments)

new ipswich: What's Your ICON Pleasure? - 06/09/11 10:31 AM
With all the social media site popping up on the web, I can't seem to keep track of all the creative icons and which social network to click on!
Well, everyone can recognize the "F" icon for facebook (no, not that other four letter word), and you can see just about every shape, size, design for the infamous "F"...

Well, whatever floats your boat in the way of an "F" - you got it!
My questions is... what happened to a trademark logo that every company made sure was the right type face, right size, used in the right upper … (0 comments)

new ipswich: How To Stay Warm During the Winter Months In Southern New Hampshire - 12/15/10 01:07 AM
How to keep warm in the cold in Southern New Hampshire:
As native Alaskans have told me, you can freeze to death faster than you can starve to death.
Many of my friends in Brookline, Hollis, Wilton, and Temple heat with wood.  Wood is hard to regulate in regards to a controlled temperature in every room.
Even for those of us with fossil fuel heating or other types of heat prefer to keep the temperature down at a cool 60 to 62 degrees this winter to conserve on costs.  Conserving energy helps to be "Green."

new ipswich: Home Improvements Versus Home Maintenance - 11/30/10 06:43 AM
Recently, I went on a listing appointment in Hollis New Hampshire and spent a few hours learning about the sellers home and listening to what he had done in the way of improvements.
What I realized, not only with this homeowner, but with many others is that they are confused about home maintenance that is necessary to keep the current market value of their home but what it considered an overall "improvement" that actually adds value to the home.
For example, fixing the plumbing, repairing the siding, replacing a faulty/leaky roof, or putting in new carpet is just part of what … (1 comments)

new ipswich: Geothermal heating and cooling - going GREEN? - 10/25/10 07:41 AM
Hollis New Hampshire Geothermal Heating & Cooling.
One of my clients recently built a home in Hollis New Hampshire and opted for Geothermal heating and cooling.
Geothermal technology utilizes the ground source for heating and cooling - very simple - a geo-exchange.
It is a safe technology that uses the earth's renewable energy to provide high-efficiency heating and cooling. In winter, it draws heat from the ground and transfers it to your home, and in the summer it extracts heat from your home and transfers it to the ground.
Hardware consists only of a heat pump connected to a water source … (0 comments)

new ipswich: Too Many Investors Own the Paper So WHO Can Rightfully Foreclose? - 10/17/10 11:19 AM
There is so much "hoopla" and "to do" in the news about the hault to foreclosures?  Why?  Because back when all the subprime, interest only, and creative hybrid loans were being written, the paper was sold to a multitude of investors after the close that nobody could keep track.  Even now, I see one mortgage company taking the loan, the final investory being another, and then the client is told at the closing table that their loan will be sold within a month or so... the beat goes on.  Where does it end!?
O.K. so big brother is going to put … (5 comments)

new ipswich: Interest Rates Are At An All Time Low - 10/13/10 10:40 AM
My "schpeel" to all first time home buyers on the fence is the same:
"Interest rates are at an all time low..."  AND  "you don't want to miss this grand opportunity to own a home."
But... my buyer has read an article in Time Magazine that says "Home Ownership is Dead."  What the heck are they doing to us?
To make matters worse, I've got buyers saying "oh, it will get worse, and maybe next year prices will be even lower than this year... blah, blah...."
For the past five years things are headed in the down direction.  It use to … (0 comments)
