Are you , a friend, or a family member struggling in this economy? Are you trying to get your finances together for your new home purchase?
I have counseled and taught debt management and money saving techniques for years, but have never taken it to the level (nor do I have the formal education) of one whom I consider to be the greatest in the area of Debt Management.
Are you ready to get out of debt? Are you in good condition to buy your first, or next , new home? Do you want to find out for sure that you … (0 comments)

education: What does it take to invest in todays market? - 08/06/08 03:13 AM
Inventory is high, sellers are making concessions, money is available, and for the investor market there are plenty of deals to be had! BUT I have talked and worked with more "tire-kickers" than ever before. It seems that even in today's outstanding "Buyers' Market" more people are afraid to actually make a commitment to buy.
My investors list has grown exponentially as compared to actual buyers. I have spent more time this year researching and breaking down potential deals than ever before. My time driving, meeting potential clients, selling myself and my services to the investors market has been easier but more … (0 comments)

education: Can you Foresee the future for your client? - 03/25/07 05:14 AM

When I first looked at this from my email this morning-I was really impressed! I guess that shows my gullibility! Then I looked a little closer and easily figured out the trick that was played on my mind! Did you?!
Once figured out-I thought this truly relates to our Real Estate Business......How you say?
When I first looked at this trick, I was looking as a potential buyer or seller, or maybe a FSBO  of a home-oh this is simple, no problem, I can breeze through this and be truly impressed when I am done! Good job!
BUT as a Realtor, looking out for … (3 comments)

education: Nature of Success-Mac Anderson does it again! - 03/15/07 12:06 AM
Technorati Profile Mac Anderson of Simple Truths has done it again. You may remember him from his short inspirational and motivational movie"212 degrees"
This new 3 minute movie-"The Nature of Success"- encompasses all of the steps of success-from belief with a passion, through knowledge and committment to setting goals and taking action, while maintaining integrity.
Believe me this 3 minutes speaks for itself-there is really little that I could add to what Mac has already put together! I hope you enjoy this as much as I did!

education: Rookie growth and success-you can't have one without the other! - 02/28/07 01:51 AM
There are so many good posts on Active Rain on a daily basis! I feel as though I have grown by leaps and bounds just from reading posts over the past 2 weeks! Anyone who is in the Real Estate Industry should be required to be here-actually do you think we could turn in our hours on AR for CEU Credit?
As I promised as Moderator of the "Rookies Turning Pro" Group, as I find outstanding posts that are, at least in my opinion, VITAL to the Rookie agent, I will repost them specifically in the rookie groups.
Rookies who want to survive … (3 comments)

education: My first week on AR - 02/25/07 12:38 AM
I have been on AR a week now-Gosh the time has just flown by! When did I have time to do any business this week? This is so addictive! Since I have to start my day at 5:30am each morning due to family obligations, I find that I can be productive building my business through the "blogosphere" for the first 2 hours of my day. Then I can go out and market myself in the community.
I have actually written several posts-of which 3 have been featured-OK I don't want to open the "Featured" can of worms so I am just … (6 comments)

education: AR as therapy - 02/24/07 10:25 AM
As Real Estate Professionals, we are taught on a regular basis to maintain our "Happy Face" whenever we are in front of the client, potential client, customer, lead, potential lead, or acquaintance.
Doesn't this cover just about anyone we come into contact with?
Staying "ON TOP OF THE WORLD" is not always as easy as some make it seem.
I must say a huge THANK YOU to many here on AR, because I have found many posts that will invigorate, Motivate, or just plain bring me out of the blue mood!
I have never been associated with a group that nomatter the mood I … (3 comments)

education: Expensive lessons learned as a non-represented buyer! - 02/24/07 06:08 AM
My first homebuying experience set me up to be a SUPER- Agent for my clients! Everything that could possibly go wrong-DID GO WRONG! I was fortunate that the sellers were so patient as our initial offer was accepted on May 7 and we did not close until Mid-August!
Lesson 1-Always have representaion to insure all of your bases are covered.
We were buying a FSBO-way under market, because it was a gut rehab, so we felt we could save more by not utilizing the services of an agent. I had been out of the RE industry for a few years and had never … (1 comments)

education: Building the Farm-A Quick Start Guide in real estate - 02/20/07 11:55 AM
I have been planning this blog  and actually started it yesterday but it ended up being FREE, Easy ways to jumpstart your career . Finally I was inspired by Brande Bradford with her blog  Cliff or Trampoline. Brande made some outstanding points in her  piece geared toward the Rookie Agents. Between those two blogs, I felt that a good "back to basics" piece for Rookies and "not-so-rookies" could help those that are possibly struggling and wondering "why" they are in this business.
First and foremost realize what business you are in! Traditionally the answers range from real estate, to the people … (19 comments)

education: FREE, CHEAP, EASY ways to jumpstart your REAL ESTATE Career - 02/19/07 11:36 AM
Being new to AR, I am doing a lot of reading and studying so that my posts can be both beneficial and enjoyable. I am finding that already this is not an easy task and you must truly be dedicated to helping others.
In my last blog "Real Estate Ripoff" several people both commented and emailed about a comment I made concerning FSBO's paying a Buyers'Agent. I thought expanding on that would make a great blog but-oh, well-I was drawing a blank as to how to expand.
Then I came across a blog by Norm Fisher "So Simple It's Beautiful" dated … (79 comments)
