Located on the upper floor of the Strand Mall in downtown Summit, the decor is clean and bright, very welcoming and offers free wi-fi rather like an "Internet cafe." Roots Steak House, 401 Springfield Avenue, Summit, NJ 07901 is part of the Harvest Restaurants Group which also includes 3 West, Ciao Cucina, Huntley Taverne, Tabor Road Tavern, Trap Rock Restaurant & Brewery and Urban Table. Restaurant Serenade in Chatham, NJ is one of those very special places for really special celebrations! With meticulous service, a very tempting menu and a wonderful selection of wines, one can always rely on it to bring out the best in an occasion. Summit Thai Cuisine, 34 Maple Street, Summit, New Jersey is another local restaurant that my family and I really enjoy. We used to drive out to Stirling to Thai Thai and then, miraculously, Summit Thai Cuisine opened here about eight years ago. Again, we can walk to Summit Thai Cuisine from our house and we like to support the local businesses in town whenever we can.

Taka Sushi Restaurant, Summit, New Jersey is one of my family’s favorite places to eat locally. We can walk to the restaurant from our home and, rain or shine, it is always worth the short stroll. My daughters grew up loving Sushi and it was a “requirement” that there was Sushi either on campus or close by when my eldest daughter was looking for a college! Both girls have visited Japan and so Japanese cuisine is part of our family life. I often recommend Taka Sushi to my friends, colleagues, buyers and sellers.
