mtv: Bird Rock - The best kept secret in La Jolla

One of my favorite "hidden" communities in San Diego is by far Bird Rock. It is nestled in Southwest La Jolla on the Pacific Ocean and is comprised mainly of single family neighborhoods with a few condo complexes here and there. The community has about 4 blocks of store fronts ranging from barbers, surf shops, restaurants, to pet supplies. I highly recommend taking a weekend stroll through the town. The locals are a nice blend of surfers to long time residents. The abundant parking mixed with a lack of parking meters (yes parking is free and plenty) reflects the true laid … (2 comments)
