This is my last blog entry in this luxury real estate blog. After more than a year of blogging on my ActiveRain blog, I'm afraid my time has come to an end. Here's a helpful warning to bloggers: "Be prepared." It's the Boy Scout motto and it's also good advice for people in all walks of life. It appears that many bloggers, myself included, are a little unprepared for the possibility of close scrutiny of blogging. What if we were told that we had used too much of someone else's news article in our blog entry or that we got our facts wrong and are guilty of negligence or even defamation? I planned on writing this blog entry earlier this week on the proposed settlement between the National Association of REALTORS® and the Department of Justice that would allow multiple listing service members to make private MLS information available to non-members. However, immediately after the story broke, plenty of real-estate bloggers came up with all sorts of reactions, positive, negative and neutral. For the past few months I've been working hard to add fresh, interesting content to this blog, as well as the LuxuryRealEstate.com Blog. However, starting Monday, Jan. 21, 2008, a variety of other experts in luxury real estate will be adding their voices to the LuxuryRealEstate.com Blog, making it much more dynamic than I could hope to make it on my own.
