From The Wall Street Journal:   "Congress is considering an extension for would-be home buyers who are racing to close home sales in order to receive a federal tax credit.   The real-estate industry has warned that tens of thousands of buyers who rushed to buy homes to qualify might not close before the deadline imposed by Congress, meaning they could miss out on receiving credits worth thousands of dollars without action from Congress."  
Congress is considering an extension of the June 30 closing date to Sept. 30 for buyers who HAD MET the April contract deadline.

FROM IRS.GOV:  The IRS allowance for the First Time Homebuyer tax credit has expired. However, the IRS has implemented special rules and extended the tax credit for first time homebuyers employed by the military, the foreign service and the intelligence community. 
 
Members of the military and certain other federal employees serving outside the U.S. have an extra year to buy a principal residence in the U.S. and qualify for the credit.  This extension expires April 30, 2011.

Hi Rico.....Long time no E....Hoping all is well. Yes there are still great deals in Las Vegas as there is a plethora of REO/Bank Owned properties that are selling at a great discount from the original sold price.
Las Vegas is still 1/2 the price of New York, California, and Hawaii...... and Las Vegas is still very much the cosmopolitan city that has everything to offer to any resident or tourist.
Rico, the market has shifted from a "Buyer's Market" to a "Competitive Buyer's Market."
