Private Mortgage Insurance is abbbreviated as PMI.  Lenders require it to limit their risk when the loan they make is for more than 80% of the home’s value. Both the Borrower's Credit Score and the Loan To Value (LTV) ratio determine the amount of PMI paid with the monthly Loan Payment.

A lesson I wished I had learned earlier in my Career is to show homes ONLY when people were TRULY MORTGAGE READY. 
 
No, it isn't enough to tell me that you are sure you are Mortgage Ready. First thing I need is to receive ACTUAL documentation to prove that you are really Mortgage Ready.

No, that is not a "Do-It-Yourself" Online Self-Approval form. Mortgage Ready means everything in George Souto 's post and then maybe even more!
