Earlier this year President Obama signed into the 2009 Stimulus Package and with it came the new and improved 2009 First Time Home Buyers Federal Tax Credit. This TRUE TAX CREDIT was not exactly what we (the Realtor community) were hoping for but was a vast improvement over the 2008 credit. Below is an explanation of how this tax credit works, who & what qualifies, timeframe it is valid as well as how to apply for it.
