You know what makes me crazy? Market graphs that don't tell you what is really going on in the real estate market. Let me tell you what I've noticed from the local media and alot of my own real estate compadres recently - graphs that point to the past! Great - just when you thought this stuff was over, Mars Petcare, makers of Pedigree and Members Mark (Sams Club) Pet Foods are voluntarily recalling pet foods contaminated with salmonella from the Everson, PA dry pet food plant.

Just a few words about Max and a few words of warning!
This is Max – let’s face it he was huge! My sister, Joni raised him from a pup and walked him every day rain or shine for a couple miles near their home which is near a great prairie path. That’s probably where “contact” had been made either in the woods or somewhere on the path. While the downturn in the real estate market has possibly taken a chunk out of your home’s value, it is unlikely that your tax assessment has gone down. During the boom, as your home gained in value, it made sense that your assessment would increase. Prices have flat lined or lowered in most areas so it doesn’t make sense anymore that your taxes should only go upwards. But what’s a homeowner do to? Well don’t expect the assessor to give you any help!

A transportation program in Northwest Suburban Cook County is available to residents of five area townships - Elk Grove, Hanover, Palatine, Schaumburg, and Wheeling. The Township Riders Initiative Program, or T.R.I.P, is an intertownship transportation program for medical purposes, created to serve the needs of area senior citizens and persons with disabilities.

This is a follow up post from a phone call and then another phone call from Zillow to me on a previous post I did just a few weeks ago. 'The Ruckus'
Zillow provided a data table on my Schaumburg IL area stating the Year over Year market change (-5.8%) which I was in total disagreement with. I provided closed figures that proved them wrong in my area with the current MLS stats. The info that Zillow is using is such an unbelievably broad territory it's going beyond ridiculous.
