energy efficiency: Define Fuel Poverty - 02/19/09 12:27 PM
I had an interesting conversation today with a local stock broker. During our discussion I mentioned fuel poverty. He stopped me mid-sentence....
"What is that?" he asked.
What is what? I said.

energy efficiency: How the Stimulus Benefits “Green” (And How You Can Position Yourself to Benefit as Well) - 02/19/09 12:04 PM

I've talked to a lot of realtors who don't understand how the stimulus can benefit their business...I'm sure you have heard the phrase, "What comes around, goes around."
This phrase really jumped out at me when I read Ryan's blog about the stimulus package, which, by the way, we are all paying for.
"Do you know someone on your lead list, or perhaps a past client, who could use some free insulation or some caulking around their windows? Why wouldn't you take the time to connect a potential client with free weatherization money for home improvements that will actually improve … (6 comments)

Pick up any newspaper across the US these days and I will bet you a dollar to a donut you will find at least one article about energy. It is also very likely you will find at least one article about Wind Energy in particular.
Wind is very exciting! Wind is CLEAN ENERGY!
It is a very powerful feeling to leave a house and know the homeowner is producing their own energy!!! They have their own private power plant!!!
I smile as my phone rings with calls from consumers inquiring about wind. It gives me a chance to share what I … (35 comments)

Don't let the sun go down on our Federal Tax Credits!!!
Thanks to Paul Rekow of Iowa who is a member of the small wind group I belong to. Paul forwarded this information this morning.

Toto -
Should I say Bottoms UP?
Yup! Now there are High Performance Toilets on the market! Bottom line is (no pun intended) they awesome for energy savings. Toto donated not just one, but two Dual Flush Toilets to Steve, the homeowner of the Herkelrath Project...how jealous am I? Special thanks goes to Adam, The Hybrid Home Guy, for arranging that!
What is a dual flush toilet? Two flush choices
solids liquids (otherwise known as #1 and #2)
As innovative as their toilet's are Toto's advertisements!!!
I just had to share with my ECO Friends...you have to see this for yourself!
