A few years ago, a couple walked into our Madeline Island Realty office at 809 Main Street, in downtown LaPointe, Wisconsin. They had just arrived on Madeline Island a few minutes earlier and they'd visited the Island many times in the past.

Wisconsin Realtors Association Reports Housing Sales Up for Eighth Consecutive Month - Ashland & Bayfield County Statistics Still Lag Behind Much of Wisconsin
The Wisconsin Realtors Association (WRA) reports that February 2012 was the eighth month in a row in which sales rose. Prices are down, but sales volume is on track to continue rising this year.
At the end of February, things in Ashland County were still running behind State average sales volume, with ten closed sales in the County during February.
