The past thirty days have been good for both our Wisconsin real estate office on Madeline Island and for our Minneapolis & Saint Paul office.

Our recent sale of 37640 Brickyard Creek Road in Bayfield, Wisconsin was the first of these two significant pending sales. This property was listed for sale by broker Eric Kodner, with Madeline Island Realty. Madeline Island Realty also procured the buyer for this transaction.

In the real estate business, not all days are like this one. This morning I had the privilege of touring some remarkable properties in the Lake Minnetonka area of Hennepin County (about half an hour west of downtown Minneapolis). These were anything but typical homes and lots. Prices over $1.5 million and above are not uncommon in the particular areas that we toured during the past several hours.

Customers appear to be easily confused by the various "Real Estate For Sale" signs on Madeline Island. I was showing homes yesterday on the Island and a customer asked me, "can we take a look at that house down the road today? It's one of your listings, right?"
The listing wasn't ours, but she thought the lawn sign was one of our signs. The confusion is at least somewhat understandable.

I'm proud to announce that I'll be participating in a panel discussion on Thursday morning of this week, presented by the Minnesota CRS Chapter, with the generous asssistance of 2014 Minnesota CRS Chapter Sponsors Wells Fargo, Liberty Title Company and the law firm of Markve & Zweifel.
